Epic....loved it...all of it
Look on the bright side... Soken survived the battle http://i994.photobucket.com/albums/a...lsus/Soken.jpg
EPIC video...
And they HAD to play the trailer for the live letter. I JUST STOPPED CRYING DAMNIT. ; ;
That Trailer ( or 1st part of the Opening Movie) was the greatest CS I have ever seen! Beautiful artwork, Timing of everything was flawless, and Bahamut! I wasn't expecting him at all! oh and didn't I forget I felt like crying! Good bye 1.0 for some reason you will have a special place in my heart.
The final company quest Lou (the old man) talks about using "Last Resort" if things were to get bad. When he used Last Resort it transported that party (symbolically us or any other character spared in the game) to the future where 2.0 takes place. We're time travelers.
I didn't cry.... honest =.=
I couldn't have cried any harder. That was so beautiful. Gunna miss 1.0
remember they also said through mission at 2.0 we will figure out what happened at end of 1.0. like in the back trace of time order or something like that.
you know lord of the ring (movie), someone looks 100% dead but show up later.... cus he did used reraise before he went there. Louisox's not noob mage...
wow ... that was..... amazing. o.o
LOUISOIX NOOOOOO!
thought that was amazing and it was a shame about Louisoix and i really just want ARR now!!!!!
You know it could be possible that he teleported himself as well. But the Spell that he casted could have probably be "forbidden spell" and as such would kill the user ( Or seriously hurt him).
You never know... I mean Dalamud was actually a prison for Bahamut for crying out loud! ( I was really surprised about that). Don't write off that he's dead. Though the chances of him being dead would be extremely high!
Figured either Bahamut was sealed in that thing, or the whole thing would just transform into Bahamut. Darnus was using Megaflare after getting a power up from whatever was in Dalamud, kind of a no brainer.
Definitely an epic ending cs for 1.0 though. Can't say I cried, but I was definitely on the edge of my seat watching it.
Wow.
What more could I say that hasn't already been said, far more eloquently, by others in this thread?
Immensely impressed.
Why is Deathwing in FFXIV?
I actually nearly shat myself when Bahamut came out, because I've been theorizing Bahamut for a while now, didn't think they'd introduce him so soon.
Well hold on to yer panties peoples. seems all we getting in Febuary is Beta... in Febuary. . . . . Beta.... in Febuary... which is like 3 months away.... for the Beta.
I could be wrong, but I just don't get the feeling Loui survived this one. There's a lot you can infer from just his facial expressions. Right before the Megaflare/lensflare, he has that "life flashing before your eyes" look, along with a content smile, like he knows he did his best and now the rest was up to us adventurers. He wasn't determined anymore, he was just...accepting what was coming, eased by knowing he saved the lives of millions of people and gave us hope for a future.
I posted something like this in another thread, but I don't think anyone saw it. Let me know what you guys think about this, it might just be me pulling stuff outta my ass.
Remember in Living on a Prayer, how one of the NPCs mentions that it's ironic that we should call upon the Aethyr -- Which we previously kind of owned (in the form of Garuda and Iffy)? Well, that insinuates that the primals and Aethyr are one. So let's assume that the Twelve are also of the same energy. (Or not, doesn't really matter).
At the very end of End of an Era, just before Louisoux smiles, the light begins to change into a bluer tone as it gets brighter, and I hear some noises which at first sound like just a bestial roar. Listening closely, though, I head the whinny of a horse, a couple growls and a screech. I don't know about you, but I can only think of one guy in FF who rides a horse.
I'm not saying Louisox survived -- I think it would mean a lot more to the story if he did die (despite how much I wish he didn't after his badassness in the trailer). I do think that look on his face was something other than "I accept my death" though. Right before he smiles, he looks like he sees something he recognises, or was waiting for.
I have a feeling that the primals showed up at the last minute to help, despite what we've done, so all our prayers and fighting had a purpose. It's worth mentioning, too, that the GC leaders (apparently) survive and are still doin' what they do in 2.0, and they were right there too. Which I don't think is possible if Bahamut's attack went unstopped.
lol Actually I made a post on Facebook about this but Bahamut would kick Deathwings butt. Also Bahamut looks like Bahamut... While... GW2 (the savior and best MMO to some compare to WoW idk why) has a DIRECT no crap rip off of Deathwing on its Game box just purple fire inside not red.
But ya I agree, seeing Bahamut made my jaw drop, and then go that is more epic then Deathwing.
Very impressed SE, loved everything, the music, the expressions from the characters, great job
Sorry but I have to say how much I love the fact when we were all speculating about Dalamud yes people were right about it being a prison, but no one mentioned Bahamut.... Now we have seen the trailer apparently everyone was thinking he was in there.
Is it just me, or do I hear the Hyur say as his party is over looking the destruction of Bahamut, say "Dear God" or "My God" I swear I hear him say that...
Ya I swear I hear him say it when its overhead looking down at him right before they are hit by the energy beams.
left my girl in bed this morning for this, so worth it
thats the FF i no and loved
Bahmut is often the bringer of end, and forcer of rebirth. So fits.
I can't wait for the beta and the new realm. Square is continuing their amazing story telling ability.
Actually someone's original idea was that it was Odin who was in Dalamud. When Nael's fight came out, he spoke to Dalamud as though someone was inside of it. Also his key move, Megaflare, was used during the final battle. The glyphs on the floor seemed to give more and more reason to think that it was Bahamut.
Not to mention in Final Fantasy IV, it's mentioned that Bahamut is nestled on a Red Moon. Considering this is a fanservice game, it was an easy conclusion to come to as soon as 1.23 hit.
So I just realized that there were no monks in that trailer, we made it out too right? ; ;
What I am saying is (and post a quote if I'm wrong) no one said it yes someone said Odin was in Dalamud which is why I said we were half right saying it's a prison But I don't recall anyone mentioning Bahamut if someone said when 1.23 hit they thought it was Bahamut then fine.
It's easy to say now that you knew all along it was Bahamut in there, it's like if I say I knew Louisoix was going to die all along now (which for the record I didn't)
Not to mention, YoshiP already says it's BAHAMUT>
The key thing that fell to the ground looks eerily like a sword. And if it is it's a huge mother of a sword. Who's could it be? Speculate......
Odin?
Also Watched it again with the volume turned up (had to have it a little quieter at 8am so I wasn't waking people up) and wow verge of tears amazing. Very few scenes even from movies can impact people as much as this one has even after watching it repeatedly.
SE sure know how to make a guy moist with CG like that
I think those Spikes / Seals / Giant Swords look similar to the "Twelve's Sealing Spikes" that failed to contain Bahamut a second time.
It might indicate that in the past, Allagan used something similar to it, note that He was again "almost contained in a Sphere" by the Twelve
EDIT:
The Sphere also looked like Dalamud
Man I had goosebumps and shaking the entire video. Amazing amazing amazing
Awesome trailer.
However, 5 years is too little time to repair the world from Bahamut destruction. I think The Twelve failed the task we trusted to them, but it's an easy assumption that someone has to stop Bahamut so the world is so beautiful in ARR.
My 2 cents: The Beast Tribes also summoned their gods... and all together beated Bahamut :D
True, maybe the beastmen helped us or maybe the Black Raven did, considering he really wasn't for using Dalamund.
