For clarity, my above photo is of the heroic Gentleman Hero Hildibrand. Once a simple famous inspector, he is currently battling Dalamud. We'll see how that goes.

This was wayy back in the good ol physical levels days. This was my first time encountering a GM, Petyr Winsome, and he was role playing. I always wanted to be a RedMage since the beginning of FFXIV, and his hat was not in the game yet, and it kinda looked like a RDM hat so I wanted it.
Things I learned from Petyr:
1) He has a wife
2) He referred to Kipih Jakkya and Dural Tharal as "Competitors"
3) No matter how hard you tried to trick new information from GMs, they wouldn't give it up.

My and my duo partner that could take on the whole world of FFXIV by ourselves.
We sat around the camp fire plotting out how to take of the world.
Over the fire and ash we struck our deal. With a unbreakable shield, and an unstoppable spear we continued to conquer the realms. If not for the invasion we would have been rulers. Maybe in the future once more.

Choose a memory lol. Looking through my screenshot collection there were so many fond ones, it was nearly impossible for me to select one that I felt encompassed my FF experience. Then I came across this one and knew that it represented all that FF has come to mean to me. Sure we have epic adventures, taking down magnificent foes accompanied by amazing and unforgettable storylines but this is a picture of me and my oldest FF friend just sitting down and chatting. We met during my early days in FFXI almost 8 years ago. We have never met IRL, but here we are still playing together in a whole new game, 3 time zones apart.
We decided one day to explore and take some screenshots. Sadly I was used like a taxi all night long and ended up using most (if not all) of my Anima. But it was fun!

A lot of my memories of my adventures are good but this is the most memorable.
I logged in to do some leveling, unfortunately I was given the business by a crab. I returned to find myself dead in my room, I tried to return again and exit the game but with no luck I was stuck, forcing me to crash FFXiV. As I tried to log back in I kept getting errors and could not log in for a few hours. I did finally get back on and Return to my inn alive and ready to go but I shall not forget the flaws of 1.0.
P.S. If it helps get me a poster, you can just delete the text above and put something like, after a long long GREAT day of FFXiV. Couldn't even make it to my Feather Bed! And put a bunch of silly faces.:o:p

Beautiful moment above Eorzea, saving the world :D
Best we try to preserve its gold
Suns will set right through our hold
The days we know shall be days of old
Futures uncertain we watch unfold

Linkshell mates and I grinding on Mountain Piestes way back before the class reformations and when physical levels still existed. You can see Scourage, Sacrifice, etc., in the action bar! Ahh, memories!

This screenshot of my LS mates and I getting our speed kill of Rivenroad (Hard). Even though it's a very recent photo, I feel like it's fitting to show the culmination of our efforts in XIV 1.0. I'm immensely grateful that I have a great group of players to enjoy the game with, and this fight in particular was my favorite and tested me in ways that I've never been tested before in 1.0; the design behind this fight gives me confidence in Yoshi and the dev. team, and I'm excited to see what else they have to throw at us! I'm so very proud of my LS and I look forward to playing 2.0 with them :3

There was once a time when Thaumaturge was God of these lands.
To trek alone to an area bereft of content and take Dodore's hide for your own;
this wasn't a crafter's fantasy.
It was his rite of passage.
It had just turned to 2011; the first world NMs had been added and Dodore Doublet was one of the only items above LV36 that could be obtained. In those days, THM was unspeakably overpowered. Armed with three stackable DoTs, infinite enemy-matching resistances, double-casting mega-nukes, and an instant-full-healthbar cure that cost pocket change MP - Dodore fell to an army of one.
^ And with that dramatic entrance out of the way, we can get to admitting that my little lalafell hat was HANDILY fed back to me that day...
That day...
One of my most memorable moments will be one of the saddest.
Today I logged in to "old Eorzea" for one final look around, but this time was very difficult.
Recently my fiance, Kanade Vahriel, who has been my adventuring companion through Final Fantasy 11 and 14 for the past few years passed away in a car accident. For a little over a month I've been trying to convince myself to log in to see the end, with no success, until today.
I had to see the end, if only for him. Had to take a few more screenshots.. since he won't be able to anymore.
I ended up in Limsa.. I thought it might have the best view of the sky, and I could also get a few shots of the sea and send them to his father (who was in the Navy). He had encouraged me to log on to finish this for Kanade.
So here I stand, alone in the storm that reflects the pain in my heart.
On the docks, "our place," where he taught me to fish, and at one time a love blossomed.
With a blazing red ball of death in the sky to my back and my eyes toward the sea,
this is where I say farewell to "old Eorzea" and many happy times with it.
Here I stand, with him in my heart, and wait for the end.

This took so long to find the right screen shot! It seemed like every pic I looked at had a special memory attached to it. This picture below is of my linkshell taking down Great Buffalo for the first time, back when a full party was 15 people. We were so excited when Square Enix implemented notorious monsters like GB and Ureaus, and "monster hunts" became a regular event among us in TALE. Taking down this towering foe together felt really special, though, and reminds me of how far we've come as a group and all the challenges that await us in 2.0.

It was December 24th 2011, all of my LS logged at christmas eve for a holiday picture. We were all very excited, and was a very special moment for all of us. We decided to take it at Limsa Lominsa, there were snowing all over mayor cities of Eorzea, and all of them had decorations all over. I remember seeing that huge xmas trees and thought it was the greatest place in the game to took that screenshot, we took a picture in 2010 and I was very happy to see all of the members of the first picture in this second one.
The only thing that make me sad viewing this pictures, is that this year we couldn't have the same LS event... because of that, we are planning to do a Real Life LS event, hoping to don't brake the chain of xmas celebrations.
Hope you like it.

It was early back in the heydays of the new adventures.
And a friend of mine stumbled across a 300 point faction leve, unheard of!! So we delved into what is known as the bounty placed on Coiled Adder. AFter a difficult battle fighting his minions along with efts and buzzards, he ran off. So we naturally pursued having no idea what was in store. As we reached a corner, he stopped, and when our group finally reached him, peistes, seeing for the first time appeared from behind the mountain. Shocked! We ran far, but of course our steps couldn't match their speed. So we battled them head on! Their roar was so loud and shocking, it was a unique experience of a whole kind in an MMO, and one I have treasured since then..
Thank you Short Bus for this incredible experience.
Btw: I swear to the 12 this photo isnt shopped in any way or form. The reverberations of the screams was timed perfectly in my luck to take this screenie. Still sends shivers down my spine
P.S.
This was those fun times when leve linking expired and we still wanted to grind :)

On the highest peak of La Noscea, we share one final moment of peace before Dalamud puts an end to our dream. We can only hope that when we wake up we will still be together.

Relaxing in my favorite spot in the forest, near Camp Emerald Moss. After a long day of adventuring, it's nice to get away and be surrounded by nature. Not many come here, so I know it's always a good place to visit for quiet time. :D

After many times of yearning for the treasures hidden within these caverns, I took up arms, and made a calling for like minded warriors to join my cause. Together we fought, we learned, and we triumphed over these caverns might. As the sky darkens before us, we endured and gasped at every breathtaking moment, and we know we fought until the very end.
I think this is an interesting vies of Aertheral Node

I'll never forget the day I wandered into the Musketeer Guild.... during deer hunting season evidently...

This takes me back, I swear. In the beginning, I was mostly alone with no guild to call a home or anyone whom I would call a friend to whom I could talk to. Because of this, I decided to leave Limsa Lominsa for the first time and headed to Ul'dah. This pic alone shows how excited I was to finally get on a boat for the first time and head to a new nation. It was fun but I was also nervous as I didn't know what I was going to run into along the way.
Because of this experience, I met up with a person whom I respect in all my times here and value as a good irreplaceable friend. Let it be known, be daring and move forward everyone. It may be a long and lonely road but in the end, you'll eventually run into someone whom will probably change everything for you....for better or for worse. Laii Nagisa, thank you so much for inviting me to Shadow Ravenloft, helping me whenever you can, and being there when I needed to talk to someone. Loves ya!!

I liked this day a lot.

Day 1 as an adventurer. Onion Helm still shiny and new. Asuran Gauntlets ready to enhance my crafting prowess.
I happened across a moonlit landscape that stopped me in awe. I contemplated for a while, just what is that dot near the moon. We've all come so very far, including Dalamud...

As the hoards of monsters approach Uldah one White Mage stands ahead to rally the army.
http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_md...3ldho1_500.jpg
I guess this is probably what happened to me 70% of the time I was playing while the world ends. Good times good times.
I thought about posting something sappy and such but most of those memories are of me soloing, so I figured I post something more realistic to what was going on.
Fun times and I slightly regret not being strong enough to help fight against the monsters.

That's right. My saying goodbye to Baderon Tenfingers, if it wasn't for him helping me up in the beginning of the my adventure, I'd never have become the adventurer I'd become today nor would I ever have met the companions I have today and in the end, never would've had such an amazing adventure. I am ready to save the world.Quote:
On 9/22/2010 Diasee Pauwee came into the world of Hydaelyn and the region of Eorzea, she stepped off the docks into the Thalassocracy of Limsa Lominsa within the southern islands of Vylbrand. That a relative unknown could rise to that of infamy. Just over two years have passed and now Diasee Pauwee has returned to her see her benefactor once more on the Twilight of the Realm itself, before she too goes out for to fight for the freedom she'll so gladly die for just to say to him, "So long and thanks for all the fish."
