Played 3 days another online game, 0.0 problems

I just started getting it 12:00 AM CDT. I was in The Burn for BLU and DC'd on the second boss, I can not get in at all, but my other two characters can log in fine. No matter what I do the BLU can't get in and I don't know how to actually contact a GM in game.

Yup, I was just playing. Behemoth running Castrum Meridanium and got disconnected. Cannot get back in now. It's like the dungeon crashed and my character is stuck. I can log on and play my other characters just fine.

I’m in the exact same boat. Were you eventually able to log back in after waiting a few hours... or are you still screwed?

Also I'm on PS4 if that makes a difference

Tonight I got disconnected in the middle of Delubrum Reginae with a character in Hyperion and I'm unable to log back in to that character. I get to the world and character selection screen, get into queue to log in, get to the "now loading" screen with the world map background (because I'm inside an instanced area) but then I get error 90002. But I can log in to any other character in other worlds, even to others in the Primal datacenter. On the same pc, on the same network. I can also world visit Hyperion on other characters on the Primal datacenter, but that one character who disconnected in Delubrum is lost in limbo.

Edit: Was finally able to log back in after waiting long enough to get kicked from the Delubrum Reginae instance. When I logged in I was in the room where you queue for it, which is where I was before entering the instance.

I was in a duty with 3 other people "Snowcloak", it was against the last encounter at about 1210 ET. (Eorzea time). The game would lag and I would just be trying to hit breathing creatures that were just standing. Then the game would catch up and I would see all the AOE and such. I attempted to open the final door and it locked down. My healer told me "It says I'm viewing a cutscene" even though we are both way out of the level to still see a cutscene. Please help, it didn't start getting like this until after this newest patch. My computer is fine, I'm having no other issues, but this occurred both yesterday and today now. I'm scared to even join in a dungeon because I don't wanna be the jerk that DCs.

Also got dced with error 90006 related to connection issues while in the gauntlet.. been like this for 2 days after the patch.. Now not even joining queues since i see people stuttering in town and normal maps and i'm afraid do DC mid dungeon again...

Same issue for me, I've been having multiple disconnects (90002) today. I have to exit the game and re-log to get back in.

I find the disconnects are especially common when in group activities, but has happened solo as well. Playing on PC

My connection shows as excellent and I have the same problems, people seem to "rubberband" in town and as soon as I join a dungeon I get kicked. No problems anywhere else or with other games. 200mb down/ 100mb up fiber.
Only started getting it a day after the patch.

Would like to throw my hat in the ring in the latency/DCs/rubberbanding people since 5.45 hit...start of the day was fine then by nighttime it become full on freezes...following day it was still some freezing and lag, thursday it was just minor lag and then friday it went back into full on freezing.

Yep, unplayable for me.... only thing i did whole week was the MSQ roulette to farm tomestones and even so always had 1/2 crashes per run with 90001, 90002 and 90006 errors. This is simply sad, whole week wasted.

I wish it only really occurred in group activities because then I could at least move forward with MSQ, and for the most part the lag spikes and dc's are worst in group activities but I was just having a grand ol' chat with an npc and and got kicked for a 90002 dc. Started happening out of no where and have been trying everything I can find on the internet to remedy it but to no avail...

Been getting random disconnects ever since 5.4 dropped. Wasn't having any issues prior.

Yet another week of frequent 90002 error disconnects. Just got disconnected 4 times in a row in The Aery. I'm running unsync and the only person in the instance. No latency or lag, just my connection terminated with 90002 error without warning. Same thing occurred in Bozjan Front and in Delubrum Reginae. Constant 90002 disconnects. I have zero issues with anything else. Discord still running voice chat. Internet still working. No problems doing anything else online. But FFXIV is disconnecting me with 90002. It's primarily happening in instances. I see other people having the same problems through the entire run. I have almost zero issues outside of dungeons/raids/instances. I'm missing content runs with friends and FC mates. I have to back out of more challenging content because I can't guarantee I can stay in game through the fight.

It's been more than a year now since these started. And nearly a full on year since this thread has been started and completely ignored. Twenty-six pages. TWENTY-SIX. And not a single response. We have mountains of evidence in this thread that it's on your end. We're all paying you for a service that you're not fixing and are ignoring us. Enough already, Square. It's been OVER A YEAR. Fix this.

90002 is the true challenge of soloing potd because it kills your run immediately. I sent in a ticket and looked over the troubleshooting steps (requires me to turn off every safety protocol on my computer to play the game, which seems like a ridiculous fix for this). Never received a response on the ticket and it doesn't seem like this problem is even on their radar so I just uninstalled. Couldn't handle the frustration of completely not being to play the only part of the game that held my interest. 8 out of 8 solo runs to 200 ended to DC (one was generous and DCd on floor 3, but the others were between floor 37 through 104).

I have been having same issues since returning to play back in Jan 2021, after a 5 yr hiatus. Ponied up $50 for StB/ShB upgrade plus Sub price, these asshats at SE don't give a shit as long as they get paid! I have tried all of their suggestions also with no luck, even tried DMZ with static IP for my PS4 and still getting contant DC's, to where game is unplayable, which is unfortunate as I have several friends playing that talked me into coming back. After they have seen how Sq E have treated me, several are considering cancellation too. I love how I only have issues with this game and nothing else online, as well as direct correlation to capacity in world and frequency of DC's but SqE still refuses to acknowledge and fix their server capacitance problems!

Mine is constant 90006 error codes followed by 2002 half the time when I rejoin. Hard to play for 15-20 min before it occurs again, and sometimes 5 min at most, it is utterly ridiculous._.Square owes us all full refunds!!!

Aye i've been having 90006 errors for 2 weeks at least >;>'' after i wait a while i log back in for what ever i was doin' and after some 10-20 mins it kicks me out once more. Whats even more funny is that the dc's are complitely random and i cannot predict when it happends if i play :/ After those kickouts i just stay logged out rest of the day and play other games, not that i cannot play FFXIV, BUT gettin' dc's are not my thing...

Adding that i do have hybrid connection and new pc that can hold this game so yea, cant really say anything else but; SE FIX YOUR SERVER CONNECTIONS PLZ, stop pointing at players every time there is a problem....

There's absolutely something going on with the servers lately.

A few of my free company were mentioning huge lag spikes and random DC's (Or pokeballs as we call them).

It's certainly not anything to do with us lot.

I would assume that we've probably all tried the same kind of stuff like, disabling firewalls, adding exclusions to anti-virus software and firewalls. Fresh installs, Clean boots, Ccleaner and disabling overlays and re-installing the whole game.

That pretty much means that it's nothing on our end. I've been trying to make a ruckus about it lately in the hope that the head honcho's might at least give some manner of confirmation that they're aware that there is a problem and are investigating it.

Same issues here. I already cannot even log into the game, always get one of the 9000+ errors. It all started few days ago just with some random lags and spike but it's getting worse.

Another week full of 90002 error disconnects. I've been disconnected three times in the SAME Frontline match. Each time I reconnect, the connection says "Excellent". It's completely unplayable.
How can you have 27 pages of complaints about the same issue from paying subscribers and completely ignore it?

We have 3 PC's trying to play FFXIV, and we all have regular 90002 error disconnections, several times every play session. We all connect by cable not wifi.

I have used ping plotter (free download) to try and locate any issues and it appears to be at 62.115.120.238 this is Telia Company in Stockholm Sweeden ldn-bb4-link.ip.twelve99.net

This is the last stop before your European game servers in Düsseldorf Germany. This hop is recording an AVERAGE packet loss of 21.4% and the worst latency of 548ms, although the average latency is ok. My guess is the packet loss or latency becomes too high for a short time and causes the disconnects.

I also have the same issues - 90001/90002 errors...
some weeks ago I'm getting those annyoing disconnect errors. It is impossible to run some dungeons without getting kick from the server.

tried everything what I could found out on the internet (port forwarding, disable/enableUPnP, changing DNS, configuring rules in the firewall, etc...) --> none of this is working.
Fun fact is that every other online game are working fine except for FFXIV.

I also have tried tracert the FFXIV server I'm playing on. It seems that the package is stucking after the 10th hops - it never reaches the server (tried serveral times - some seems to get to the destination but mostly the packages are hanging somewhere or it takes a very long time to get to the next point).

at the moment I'm using a VPN (free one -- means I got in dungeons some delays/lags but at least it is playable) just to play the game and I won't pay for a full version of VPN just to play a game I'm already paying for.

Please SE do something about it.

With the new computer: a lot of error 90002/90001 ...

The folder FF is in exceptions with antivirus, or antivirus desactivated but no change ...

I wiresharked this a little while back because I was fed up with it. I've been having excessive disconnects (the 90ks) daily for the last couple months. This is 100% serverside. Didn't look through this thread so idk if anyone else posted a packet capture, but here's mine. The attached image is the end of a TCP session with the FF14 server I was connected to. Essentially this is the server telling my computer that there is no more data to be sent and it is closing the connection.

Packet loss can stem from any number of issues but the server closing the connection is pretty damning.

Edit: Skimmed through, yes, exact same results from other packet captures in this thread. Although I have not personally seen a tcp reset flag, I also haven't been packet capturing every time a DC occurs. If people are seeing RSTs in their captures that's another indication that the port (on the server's side) has closed and will no longer accept data. Good job, SE. Fix this nonsense.

Edit again because i'm a moron: Looking over all these again i'm realizing I made the basic mistake of swapping server/host. The host is closing connection in that capture screenshot. Why? Everything else i'm seeing is the host acknowledging that the port on the receiving end is closed (Host sending a RST/ACK to the server). Which still begs the question of what's going on? This happens DAILY to me. No other services or games have disruptions like this. I have no lag, no drop outs on voice platforms like Discord, this is SOLELY an FF14 issue. Been a while since I had to analyze a tcp stream, though. Dangit SE, making me dust off my basic understandings of networking.

Welp, we're back to this again. Happening once more, have tried the usual suspects:

• I am not getting any visible warning before this happens. I am not noticing any lag, rubber-banding indicating packet loss, or anything of the sort.
• This is not happening to my fiance (same network), suggesting it is local to my computer.
• It seems to be more common, but not guaranteed, to happen when transitioning areas to/from a duty, or shortly thereafter. It does infrequently happen when just standing around.
• I have tried the following diagnostic steps based on solutions I've found online:
  • I have disabled Large Share Offloading for IPv4 and IPv6
  • I have swapped ethernet cables and ports on our modem
  • I have fiddled with IE settings to make sure security is set the way FF14 prefers
  • I have reinstalled the game multiple times.
  • I have updated Windows and my drivers as applicable.
  • I have reinstalled Windows and my drivers via a full wipe and going from scratch.

EDIT: Despite my suspicion the issue was localized to my computer I tried a VPN regardless, WTFFast. It behaved itself for a little while and then had two in relatively rapid succession. I don't believe a VPN is going to be the fix here.

I've tried swapping in a dedicated PCI-E ethernet card, and making sure ports are properly forwarded for the Steam version of the game, for my PC. No change. I'm now trying setting the game to High priority.

SE... I'm willing to play ball. If there are technical problems, I can work on them, I've played games on PC for most of my life. I've tried every fix known to Hydaelyn and not one of these has proven effective. I'm at an utter loss.I am having no general internet connectivity problems, so whatever on Earth is causing 14 to be so sensitive... on the one hand, something is different from my computer to my fiance's that's causing me to have this and not him. On the other, I'm hard pressed to say this is my fault when it's only this game that's being so unstable.

I've gotten two 90006 disconnects tonight. Both of them while in a dungeon.

First time was Xelphatol. It took almost 8 minutes before the game finally error'd out and disconnected me. During that time the lag was so bad that literally nothing was happening on the screen. I could still chat when it first started, but after a few minutes even that stopped working.

Second time was in World of Darkness raid. That was about 10 minutes ago from the time of this post. Similar to above, but it only took about three minutes before the game error'd out. I lost chat functionality about 30 seconds into the lag.

I'm not going to be a circus dog and jump through all the hoops. I know what I needed to check, I checked it. The problem is not on my end nor on my ISP's end. All other internet traffic to and from my computer is 100% fine. Out of the 3+ years I've been playing, this is the first time I've had an issue this bad. I've had disconnects here and there, but never two in the same month, much less two in the same night. And none of them were ever accompanied by such extreme lag.

Square needs to accept responsibility and fix the problem.

EDIT - I attempted to post about this issue on the Steam forums, since I have the Stream version. The moderators there deleted the thread with the reasoning "Please refrain from attempting to bait users into non-constructive arguments." I included two links in my post, one to this thread and one to the thread about the Chaos Datacenter. Square, what's going on? Why do you have people actively trying to hide issues from the community?

SIX disconnects in the span of eight hours. SIX. And insanely high latency right now. It takes 5-10 seconds for an attack to register. Stop putting the blame on players, Square.

At least six disconnects within 5 hours yesterday...starting again today. Why is this happening? Grrrrrrrrr

90002 almost every time we try and zone into the squadron barracks, but it can be anywhere any time, easily 4-6 times an evening.
