Blame the people who said Option 2 was the best to go with~ Not really SE's fault for giving people what they wanted.

You guys need to go read shit before posting here lol if you do nothing you will be merged to the server SE has assigned for your server.

Option 2 - People that stay up till 3 AM have 5-10 minutes to pick a world before it caps. Everyone who doesn't gets stuck on their original servers.

Option 4 - People that stay up till 3 AM have 20-30 minutes to pick a world before it caps. Everyone who doesn't gets randomly distributed across servers.

Yeah, I'm glad they went with 2.

Option 4 would not be capped because it wouldn't have inactive players as part of the equation as option 2 does.

I don't really understand why they would cap it off...The people who are rushing to the larger servers and looking for more endgame content based server and the low population servers are for all the useless social/RPers players. Its like this in many MMO's and there really is nothing wrong with it.

There is a 2 week window (not a 2 min) to put in for a transfer. Everyone just take a deep breath, rub your earlobes and say wooooosaaaahhhhh

You are going to get transffered to your designated server so still will be on a NA server, so what the hell is the problem? Stop complaining without reading/knowing the facts.

Balmung is not really full. See, Fabul players just take up more space. SE allotted every Fabul character 2 slots because we need more room for this...

and why not you north americans go to ragnarok server? it could be more an occidental server than a european server, futhermore it seems it have plenty of space atm, north american timezone could be covered with a good bunch of americans even we europeans share our early night with your afternoon.

They could jump in and say if things are working as intended or not, instead of repeating the same mistake over and over and over again: silence & letting unwarranted annoyances fester. Why does it always have to rot forever, before a heads up is given.

Why would they jump in on every single "fictional problem" the community makes up?

Read the Lodestone post again. They even mentioned that some servers will get locked almost immediately and that is exactly what happened. That is what the community wanted. The community wanted no priority for active players of inactive players, so no you have to deal with it if you want to change your server.

Even Ragnarok is full now. All ten servers are maxed out now by some weird division of players. I really hope SE does something about this. The fraction of players who want to gtfo their current server should be able to. Im not sure which im more frustrated with, SE's low max server capacity or the idiots who cried for this option over the original one.

First Stage: From 0:00 a.m. PST, March 1 (Thursday) to 0:59 a.m. PDT, March 12 (Monday), 2012.
- Players will still be able to change Worlds even after applying for a World transfer.
* Players will not be able to select Worlds that are already populated with the maximum number of characters, but players will be able to move from such Worlds to other Worlds. Note that if a player leaves one World to transfer to another World, and in the interim the first World is filled with the maximum number of characters, the player will no longer be able to transfer back to the original World.

Okay, ill bite. I was up at 3am spamming refresh and clicked the link as soon as it appeared. At 3:01am, Ridill Balmung Sargatanas and another server were already X and every other one was a delta except for Ragnarok.

They also said from March 13th and beyond "if your selected server fills up, that server and your selection will become locked" Whats the point of waiting until March 13th if theyre already(or started) full of players? (Inactive ones at that)

i believe option 2 had the option to transfer server if you want. i can see how people are upset. It would be like ordering a pepperoni pizza and they only put 1 pepperoni on it(yes, i compared the merger to pizza).

Well that was certainly to be expected. Basically what Xianghua has been repeating. The community received what they wanted. Honestly if I were the devs, I'd be laughing my ass out at this situation. It's like one of those "I told you didn't I? But did you want to listen...Noooo~"

There's also the matter that some people have accounts with multiple characters spread on different servers. Mind you S-E did mention that multiple characters on the SAME server counts as 1 for those wondering.

On another note, I'm an EU player but I never intended to move to Ragnarok. I prefer to play with everyone around the globe. Besides as an european, I tend to prefer playing with US people as they tend to be more fun and entertaining. *Reads the forums and this thread* Yep definately more entertaining.

And I will as well. This is what everyone wanted. Maybe not you but the majority did not want to leave their inactive LS members behind.

Bottom line SE did not surprise us with this they spelled it out very clearly. That's really all I want to get across. I hope you do get to move to the server of choice as well as everyone else.

This is a shame for those who didn't get a chance to move, perhaps the caps should have been higher methinks. I'm not going anywhere so i'm unaffected but still...

I wrote myself a short program to fix this problem in c++. I will be clicking apply every 3 seconds for the next 12 days. Might log into a second computer to get it down to 1.5sec.

Yes, in this page (link) we displayed how the server merges are going to be and if you are OK with that merge you don't have to do anything.

何も操作しなければ、3月27日に予定しているワールド合併メンテナンス時に、「新ワールド」欄に記載されているワールドに自動的に合併されます。
If nothing is done; after 3/27's planned world transfer you will automatically moved to the listed new world.

Original plan required every player to take part but after receiving everyone's feedbacks we changed the method and prepared the default world for the merge

今回移転受付を開始の時点で「×」だったり「△」スタートだったりというワールドが並んだという点に違和感を覚えられた方がいらっしゃるのも、この差による ところが大きいと考えられます。当初の方式でいけば全ワールド「○」スタートとなるものですが、最終的に決定した方式では、新ワールドにキャラクターが最 初からいる状態からのスタートとなりますので、状況に応じて△だったり×だったりのスタートになります。
You may of felt awkward when the server transfer started it already showed X or (triangle) for some worlds. With original plan it would of started with all (Circle) but with decided method the characters are already going to be in the new worlds already at start so in situation it could end up with (triangle) or X

現在×のワールドに関しても、転出が増えて受け入れられる数が増えた場合、今後△化する可能性はあります。
For worlds with the X on them if many plan on moving out then it's possible to change to (Triangle)

I'm really hoping this server crap clears up soon. I was really hoping to switch to Masamune to play with some IRL friends I have on that server. but I was disappointed to find it, and pretty much every other server completely full within the first DAY... so yeah I'm just waiting to see if this madness clears up.

Best part of my day is waking up to some fresh Q.Qing.

Quick question: I'm a player on server Besaid. If I do nothing, and just keep my account active, will I end up on Balmung? Is that how it's working now?

I was saying it last night, the community is at fault here. Glad to see people agreeing with this sentiment now.

Also very happy someone finally quoted where SE clearly stated/predicted all that which is happening/happened.

The JP to ENG translation, predominantly the last part, says a lot. They expected the servers to be X when the application process began. QQ less and be happy with what you got.

Stuck on Balmung and looking to party. Good luck waiting for your friends from 2010/2011 coming back. I thank you guys for completely and utterly ruining the server merge. Now let's see if your QQ changes SE's stance on the subject.

I think this further satisifies my arguement that it is broken, because if they are saying "if people move out then it will change", then why is there any max X to begin with, if people been moving out already, even if someone fills that spot they left somewhere, whos filling that spot, and so on.

If you do nothing you're automatically in your new server.

Don't think its broken it basically says with some servers when they merge together some may be full @ that point from the merge, so the servers will only open up slots after someone moves from the server.

It does not validate your argument that the merge is broken. People asked for this merger type. SE went in knowing how many people they wanted per server. With the groupings they made, it was safe to assume, or rather, we as the players should have KNOWN, that the populations were ideal, according to SE. Thus, the servers would mostly be FULL or almost full and needing only slight additions. I think the community didn't realize how many people from Ridill wanted out, and that server filled up the others (remember Selbina was the highest populated server).

Not even the first day - the first MINUTE. I stayed up to be able to transfer to Balmung, and at 3:01 AM four servers already showed an X. The others went down quickly after.

I'm a new player, so I had no part in this option whining everyone seems to be talking about. Initially I hadn't realized Besaid was the unofficial RP server, so now unless the servers open up later (which seems unlikely), I'm stuck with a server I don't feel comfortable in...or forced to reroll on Besaid.

Also, for those quoting SE and claiming they spelled it out for us: "very soon after" is a bit of an understatement, don't you think?
