there was a 2 years anniversary stream for a tomato a few hours ago, with Yoshida as one of the guests. But as far as I understood the only news regarding Dark Apocalypse was that Okabe will compose some brand new music for it.
should be https://youtu.be/KebeC2YeTQI (Yoshida joins at around 44 minutes)
Perhaps this video about Drakengard and Nier may help (for those mentionning a connection between the 2)

I personally have only played Nier games and not Drakengard
I know I'm late in this discussion, but the more I think about this cross-over, the more I think this actually makes sense story-wise. FFXIV already established the existence of other worlds as far back as 2.0 with the Voidsent and the FF11 crossovers (whatever happened to Iroha anyway? I was hoping she'd be the SAM questline). Dimension hoping exists within the Drakengard/Nier-verse, too. In fact, Nier's world was created when other beings traveled through different dimensions. It's not a stretch to think two franchises, where dimension hopping exists, would make a collab together, It's just a matter of how well this crossover is explained, when the raid finally drops.
The more content from Yoko Taro, the better. As a big fan of NieR and Drakengard I just hope the team follow Yoko's instructions to the letter, the more Yoko Taro the experience is, the better it will be.
I didnt realize we were hurting for actual Final Fantasy locations to have alliance raids.
I mean, we havent seen Kefka's Tower, the Tower of Babel, the Feymarch, or any other number of interesting locales (so many towers...) but sure, lets pull in robot Drakengard instead (???).
I have the same thoughts with this I do every time anything Squeenix has crossover events with itself, or uses crossover content: "Theres not better, more iconic fits for Final Fantasy crossovers"? (I can think of a few without any deep thinking)
