What? Liking Alphinaud is sinful?
I really really like Alphinaud personally, something about him going from a nitwit in ARR who contributes to the (temporary) destruction of the scions, but as time goes on learns to think farther ahead and not make such rash decisions as hiring a bunch of mercenaries to protect Erozea.
I love me some Alphinaud. He's just too adorable.

My camera has been flying pretty low ever since my miqoboy got his 2B dress.
Finished leveling my scholar to 80 today. Never got skills past 50 (they do give you some skills though). :o
When i first started ast i put off doing the job quests, so for like 5 or so levels i didn't have diurnal sect.
Suprisingly, no one noticed and i was still getting commed.
My name is Kacho Nacho,
I...um...I cannot play any race taller than a lalafell. The higher camera completely throws me off.
If the healer is holy spamming and the tank is still single pulling adds you bet I’m gonna pull the next group as a dps, why waste time
I leveled all my crafters to 80, thanks to the new Firmament update, without doing a single job quest. Didn't realize Manipulation was locked behind job quests so I didn't think they were worth doing besides being good exp/story.
I legitimately enjoy BLU in its current state.
i still havent unlocked lords of verminion or blue mage and likely never will.
I've never finished Hildibrand quest line. I know.
I still have 0 friend in game after playing for a little more than one year.
I miss Minfilia.
I have farmed over 400+ Aldgoat skins and 700+ Diremite webs.
Copied and pasted from another thread I posted in so sorry if anything is a bit off. TL:DR at bottom.
During the Engels fight, I got there first out of the whole alliance, so I put down the markers as to where each tank goes, A to the west, B to the south, and C to the east. Well it turns out B goes to the north instead, as that’s where the mob spawns, as the party B tank, I thought to just to go the north, but one of the other tanks grabbed enmity out of confusion and I wasn’t able to get enmity back as I was dead, this all eventually resulted in the entire alliance wiping due to the tanks dying and then everyone else getting mauled by the machines.
Summarized, I killed a entire alliance single handily with bad marker placement.
Funny thing was I I didn’t get blamed, other dudes where complaining how the other dude grabbed a extra mob, even got a few comms at the end. Still feel terrible about it.
1. I hate that creepy stalker, Graha'Tia. Makes my Viera want to move back to Rak'Tika, even with all the Lahee-ing.
2. I prefer PotD to HoH.
3. I still haven't cleared all of Bahamut.
4. I'm too scared to attempt savage.
5. FNC is fab
All these are true of me, except that I have been playing since not long after ARR was released :]Quote:

Yep. I need backup. ;)
The midlander run is the best run in the game. I listen to B96 mix masters throwdown instead of XIV's ost being good. I wear carby shoes with pride along with the kitty hat.
I complain about inventory space but I also carry around uselessly sentimental things like some flowers my retainer gave me.
1. I've never unlocked Blue Mage.
2. Never done the Hildebrand quest in my entire nearly life of playing this game.
3. I hate White Mages, but only because its the only healer class I'm bad at and I'm envious of people that can play it.
Before 5.0 I was trying out tanking as DRK. Now I'm planning my tanking life... As GNB. Gunbreaker is so cool and fluid to play that I wanted to play more as this job. But I'm suffering with a bit of tank anxiety at the same time.
And I haven't taken the grasp of CD rotation. Because of that, I end up using Rampart > Nebula > Camouflage (when camouflage wears off, its almost time to use rampart again). It is enough when pulling a single group, but I always end up dying on 2+ packs on squadron, where if I pull 2+ groups, the healer just let me die. And I (almost) never try to tank for a group.
My WHM is 80 and RDM is not giving me that fexibility feeling anymore (although it's only 7x yet).
I really really like Au ra females' running animation.
I still have my Brand New Ring in my saddlebag. It will never leave.
The tails on the Miqo'te annoy me. Whenever I see one I just want to pull it or cut it off. The same was true for the Mithra in FFXI.
I'm sorry. I'm sure all of you who play a Miqo'te are wonderful people. I just don't like the tail for some reason.
I never noticed a difference! Whenever I see one I look away in disgust. Maybe that's an exaggeration but I actually never noticed a difference in tails. I saw a miqo'te in Sangoli Desert a day or two ago mining ore. The character had a male's name and I thought, "Hmm interesting name for a female" not realizing at the time that the race can also be male. I didn't look long at the tail though as I didn't want to seem creepy. I did want to introduce my pickaxe to his tail, though, but managed to control myself.
I have tiny crushes on good looking Female Elezens and midlanders. I dunno why... but if I could squeeze hug all of them I would. Veira I'm starting to warm up too but it depends on how they are made.
I haven't seen a doctor, but I am kind of scared I have a retinal tear in my right eye. Maybe not, maybe it's something minor, my eye has been sore for the past few days, when I resubbed to FFXIV a couple days ago, and started playing again, this game, out of everything I do has been giving me the worst eye pain. I did a Copied Factory run, the other day, all the small movements with my eye, looking around the screen, people to heal etc. my eye has been killing me. Still healing anyway, but I can only play for short-mid periods, and not high intensity without getting eye pain. Actually, I still get eye pain, it's just not as bad when I am not moving my eyes around too much.
Kind of sucks. Hard to heal while in pain.
I've never heard of pain associated with a retinal tear or even a detachment. If you do some Google searches you'll see that pain isn't a symptom. My dad had retinal tears and had no pain. I had a partial retinal detachment years ago and had to have surgery where they cut open my eye. The pain after that was excruciating for a few weeks even with prescription pain meds.
If you had tears you'd see changes in your vision that you hadn't seen days earlier, such as flashes of light or dark areas. If you had a partial detachment you'd see a dark area that keeps getting larger, blocking your vision within days if you don't do anything about it.
Sounds to me like you have something very different. If you aren't staring at the screen for a few days does the pain lessen?
I have seen flashes of light, no vision loss however, just very sore, and bloodshot on the sides of the eye. I really hope it isn't a tear.
Well the pain just started a few days ago, but it got progressively worse after like the second day. Rather, It started out, like discomfort, then after about two days it became sore, and the more I stare at the screen and move my eyes the more it hurts. Anything I actually do with my right eye hurts, but FFXIV in particular gives me the worst eye pain, and the quickest to get to that point. For example, I can watch a tv show, or play a game like Warhammer 2 Total War, and play that for hours until it ends up actually really hurting. Playing this game, it hits me within 30 minutes to an hour. Especially when I am doing something like Copied Factory. I still remember exactly where I was, I was on copied factory, last boss, healing on my whm, and all the movement, and players getting hit by things all over the map just killed me. I had to cup my right eye with my left hand, or try to keep it closed to lessen the pain. I was effectively playing with only one eye.
I'm no doctor or medical student, I suppose it could be a hemorrhage, or allergies, sinus infection, I don't know. It just really sucks, I resub to this game, and I can't even really play it. When I go to sleep, and wake up, the eye pain is very much lessened, until I start using my right eye again.
Obviously take every bit of advice you get online with a pinch of salt, though that sounds similar to an issue that affected a family member of mine. In their case it turned out to be an issue with eye pressure. It sounds like something that should be investigated by a medical professional either way just to be on the safe side, especially with how valuable eyesight is in general.
It may be minor and it may not be. I implore you to see a doctor at least for a checkup. I did this for myself a few years ago after I had a big "eye" scare. Nearing 40, my eyes are undergoing changes I was not quite "ready" for heh, like increase of floaters(a possible sign of detachment, to which my check up did not reveal such).
After reading further posts, yes you should go see one. I sat/sitting on a lot things wrong with me XD, but my eye sight I don't mess around with.
Lessening the amount of time you stare at your screen may help in the mean time.. Computer screens do put stress on the eyes because we don't blink as much.
Back in SB in Orbonne when it first came out I had some tanks who didn't wanna tank so aggro was ping ponging like crazy from trash till Mustadio where 3 dps died because no one wanted to tank.
We get to Agrias and I'm on RDM, I pull threat and get marked with the huge red marker on my head and she turns around kills everyone. After that everyone yelled at the tanks for not tanking, I could have used Diversion or Lucid but I wanted to pew pew.
I felt pretty guilty as people left the raid which lead to a vote abandon, people started saying the tanks killed em which is partially true but man wiping a whole alliance raid is better than getting an ultra kill.
Sounds like it might be anything from eye strain to an infection. Could even just be a bit of grit you need to wash out. Whatever it is, you need to get yourself to a doctor pronto and get assistance. If you need to wait for a doctor to become available, consider reducing or avoiding screens of any sort altogether (take it easy and listen to an audiobook, using a gentle, warm cloth compress on your eye (but ensure you boil wash it afterwards in case of infection). If it's sunny outside, consider sunglasses. Hope it gets well for you soon. :)
My confession ... I always bullied Miqo'te girls, I didn't like them, said they all are the same ...
And one day I used a fantasia and became Miqo'te for two months. YES I was jealous, that's all !! D:
It took me renewing my sub in Shadowbringers to start slinging AoE spells on groups as SMN. I always always always used single-target until someone in an FC I was in mentioned using AoE spells (that by virtue of the dungeon we were in I didn't have access to at the time). As soon as I was able to, I started slinging AoEs anytime there was more than two enemies.
Also, I'm afraid to do Expert as anything other than DPS.
I spend more time in FFXIV than the real world...
