But Zidane is a monkey boy (his tail is prehensile) and Kuja is a birdman :(
True perhaps but 1 fangirl swooning over male miqo's is easily equal to 40 male players with female miqo' characters and barely dressed retainers who promote breast adjustments for character creation options in 2.0 . :P
Hmm wondering the ratio of available scantily clad armor for male characters vs female character's choices in scantily clad armor.
Anyway thanks devs for securing my subscription with the addition of male Miquo'te!!!!!!!!!!! I've been waiting since ffxi.!!
Now excuse me while I flip out and faint like a proper fangirl ....
You make a great point!
Sounds good to me. I think we are likely the minority in most games sans a few but I have no statistical data, just personal experience and the occasional joke/pun "Whut? female mmo players don't exist" and the surprise I get when male gamers discover I am female
[though that might relate to my preference to play exclusively male characters].
From the gay male gaming forum communities I am subscribed to, I would say there are plenty and likely more gay male gamers than female gamers. There is also a growing lesbian gamer community.
I have not heard gay male gamers complain/comment about double standards in armor types in ffxiv, come to think of it. I tend to notice that gay male devs / custom content creators produce more sexy armor/gear for male characters.
But I did hear lots of discontent about Witcher 2 along with lots of "Not in the character bio/storyline" arguments for the main character being a misogynist and having to deal with that.
I suppose its just a general thing we have to take unless we are the game creators ourselves. It is refreshing when some if any of our requests are granted but I can understand fully, target marketing for your dominant audience.
Final Fantasy has always provided a line of beautiful male characters far above the norm and closer than most producers to balancing the gender access to sexy gear [see "Kuja"]... and it keeps me a happy customer. I am glad that XIV has a male armor that reveals the chest. But I dislike double standard in games when revealing male armor is only classified as statless 'undergarments' instead of full armor vs females who get, both revealing full armor with good stats and undergarments.
[sort of off topic]I personally prefer some form of 'sexuality' in games, be it just the style of clothing/armor or especially in dialog/storyline. I just would prefer it be equally available across the genders, accounting for storyline of course.
Anyways this is likely TMI for most forum readers so apologies, if you want spoiler tags let me know. :)
BTW hiii Urthdigger!!!
hey hey hey.... we are not all like that.
I love my kitty for the way she is, adding things like a "breast slider" is nice, but if they do add it, I hope its in good taste -.- also my two retainer kitties (will be turning one of them into male after 2.0) are well dressed ;p
