Hey!
Type of Issue/Feedback: Latency increased after server migration, frequent spikes and unstable connection. Even when the lag isn't that bad I get disconnected.
Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP): Vivo GVT
State/Country: Brasilia / Brazil
Date/Time: Since migration of NA datacenters.
World Name: Balmung
Frequency: Entire time since the migration.
Type of Issue/Feedback: Increased latency and trouble Double-weaving oGCD without clipping on GCD. Trouble getting Shield swipe too while being pressed as oGCD. My ping used to be near 30ms to 40ms at MAX. Not it is min 110 to 140 and it spikes during prime time to 196ms while being in an instance dungeon. Double weaving as Ninja is nearly impossible, has to wait for Jutsu to confirm before applying the final jutsu cast. On WAR, Internal Release + Berserk on window not as reliable as ever, can't used 2 cooldowns without clipping GCD compared before Datacenter migration. Delay between inputing Stance activation and server "activating" the stance ( See on WAR stance macro and on PLD Non-macro'ed Stance). No apparent lag aside lag input confirmation which is now horrendous to deal with.

I mean I'll eventually get used to it. But the change is really drastic even for a 130ms+ ping and the game is def less enjoyable below the 70ms ping. Double-weaving is mandatory for some dps job and you basically just killed it for East coast/EU/SA players on the NA datacenter.
Funnily enough, I almost have a better ping on EU Server than NA Server, which is much farther away than you think.

Type of Issue/Feedback: Ping didn't really change if the previous IP I'm pinging is correct, but I've been having occasional (but nightly) spikes in my ping when playing without WTFast. I tried raiding the other night without WTFast after the server move and it was fine for a bit until I started lagging. People freezing on my screen then teleporting to where they actually are. It's not a preferable ping, but it's playable. It is NOT playable when I'm spiking and having the rubberbanding happening. I really do not want to have to continue paying a subscription to WTFast to raid consistently in this game. I only did so because of the previous Level 3 issues. I had high hopes for this move.

It shows no packets lost, but I haven't been able to get a ping specifically when I get a lag spike. It's definitely not at the same degree of Level 3 issues, but Riot servers used to be in California and there were a lot of problems for East coast players and Comcast users for them.

Traceroute Sample
Here is a traceroute I just performed using Pingplotter. It only shows the last ten minutes of the trace, but the results were consistent the entire time. Note that the packet loss begins occurring at Jump 11, which is an NTT server located in Chicago. Also note the massive increase in ping once I hit that node. At non-peak hours, or nights where I assume I just get lucky, I generally get around 95ms from Virginia, but some nights it stays at a constant 130, sometimes spiking to over 300 even when there's no packet loss.

Oh my gosh, what did they do, move the servers to Level 3? This is worse than that fiasco even! Bad decision x_x. Even the forum pages are loading slowly (an issue I am having with nothing else).
Type of Issue/Feedback: Consistent lag spikes resulting in not only disconnection from the server, but then also subsequent Lobby server errors requiring me to restart the whole application to even attempt to log back on. The first time this happened tonight in fact, the whole application was giving me fatal errors which then miraculously resolved itself. Unfortunately, I am still being consistently disconnected from both the game and the lobby.

Frequency: Apparently has no end in sight. Initially there seemed to be just a ping increase and a skill delay/global cooldown delay when I logged on directly after the servers came back up following their relocation, but now this has turned into a completely unreliable connection.
Type of Issue/Feedback: High ping. Game feels like trash at 100ms, especially since I was used to playing with considerably less. I really can't understand this, because this is the only online game I've ever played where I got nearly triple digit ping, and it's not like I play out in the boonies or anything, I'm 10 miles from NYC. This is really just ridiculous how unresponsive the game feels now, and I really just don't even feel like playing anymore since it feels like garbage to play. There's just no excuse for this, I mean, moving the server from Montreal to California, really? I get 107ms to the EU servers, which is only 7 more than my latency to the ones on my own continent. Of course, I don't expect this to ever be addressed or another server to be added someplace that isn't completely idiotic because that would cost money. On the off chance something is actually fixed or acknowledged then maybe I won't drop this game like a rock, but I won't hold my breath.

For what it's worth, my connection from home in Delaware is much better (~80 ms at all times), with a different ISP: Verizon. Would not be surprised if Comcast's ineptitude is responsible for this. Alas, I will be stuck with them here for a while.Quote:

Even people in my FC asked me why I sometimes get in and out so much sometimes.

I've noticed that most latin american players (South America,Central America and the Caribbean) are getting routed to Europe.
I hope the problem gets fixed soon because is making the game harder and annoying to play.I'm getting better latency on EU servers 142-145ms and that's on the other continent...
