Request to unlock Hempen set styles

Can we unlock the hempen sets AND the racial starting gear? I've been drooling over the idea of the hyuran skirt on my miqo for 3 years.

I have seen this request come up a few times a year since ARR launched. Squee hasn't done it yet. Just sayin'.

Clothes are not what make the races unique (or the classes, for that matter, but that's another conversation). Unlock them please!

Well my tail already clips though pretty much everything. Unless SE is planning to go back and fix all those they might as well add the starter gear too.

Please unlock it. My female Hyur is really sad with the default options she's got. I know I will never touch that set because it looks ugly on me, unlike Miqotes, Auras, or Highlanders...
Besides, it's only the natural way to go. See how the Kirimu Coat is now for everyone too? It used to be archer only. Why limit ourselves with races?

I think racially unique glamours are important for maintaining racial cultural identity. That said, I don't think the Hempen sets really accommodate this.

In short I would love to see more racially unique sets in the future but in the case of the Hempen sets I am for opening up availability across races.

Here's another vote for unlocking them- that'll be so nice!

Unlock them all! Glamour is the true endgame and we need all of it! But seriously, I'd love to mix and match Hempen sets.

I've never liked the Lala ones because the top itself is cute, but it tends to look weird with any leg gear on us. I adore the female elezen top though

The hempen set is not at all comparable to the race starting gear. I don't personally care if the starting gear remains locked, to be honest, as it's the sort of thing you'd probably only run into growing up amoung the home communities of the races, where their original cultures are more concentrated. (The could be reason to, considering some roleplayers may be roegadyn raised by tradtional lalafell, or hyur brought up around a Xaela tribe for whatever reason.)

The hempen set should be unlocked, as it's got no real cultural significance to the races, and would believeably be the sort of craft introduced within the weaving guild as more peoples came to it and influenced styles. Considering it's just hempen gear, and pretty basic for that matter, you would think it'd be a lot more freely traded.

(As a side note, I would also like it to have the gender lock removed, because as a male cat player, I wouldn't have minded the option of a longer top like our female counterparts had for their hempen gear. But really, removing the race lock is a great start.)

Unlocked is always best, or at least craftable equivalents with the same aesthetic. While you're at it please consider some of the sillier gender locks (e.g. the spring skirt when we can wear the exact same model already without the bow...)

The hempen stuff is great for adding to some glamours.

It's not a hempen vest that will made racial unique. Each race have their own set of emoticons and started racial sets.

At first I was against this because I like how the races have things that are specific to them.

But in the end, eh, why not unlock them. It's clear a lot of people want it and honestly I'd use it too

I would absolutely love for the race outfits to be shared across their given gender. That would be a fantastic feature and I would definitely make use of the other races hempen outfits in my current glamours!

Please unlock race options from the hempen sets! I would be so excited to have more cute glamor options that match my characters personality. The Roe hempens don't match her at all, the au ra or lala hempens would definitely get used by me! :-)

However I would also ask.... could starter gear also be race unlocked? There are so many great glamor options between all the race outfits. For example the long thighboots for the hyur fems would be so wonderful on an bard of any race! The fem Miqote leg pieces are also very charming and would work well for anyone who wants to create a more relaxed casual look.... I know it would be a lot of work, but I think a lot of people would end up using the different outfit pieces for glamor. But I understand that would be a lot more work than it would be to unlock the hempen sets, but I still think down the road it could be a great symbol of eorzeas different cultures working together ;-)
