damn you SE, damn you e_e
I had to make a new account despite already have had one from buying FFXIV-ARR (-.-) . Then can't even update new account info.... (>.<) wth....
Zerg rush pwns all. No one is immune to the zerg rush. Not Square Enix and not even Blizzard.
As far as I knew Heavensward wasnt supposed to go onsale until 11am PST which is 2pm EST. .. but I don't even see it in the store at the moment.
Knowing my luck its gonna come online in 2 mins when i leave work and dont get home for another 45 mins :'(
I don't find the base price that ridiculous. The japanese price is 15984 yen, so about 125 euros. For 130 euros we have about:
- 30 euros of game
- 50 of figure (I heard it's resin so although it's small it's much more expensive than PVC)
- 50 of artbook + blu-ray + CE box + in-game items
Well these are obviously my estimations, based on the standard game price and my experience as someone who spend half her pay on figures (and the other half on collector's editions).
I'd have prefered a less expensive figure (PVC can give amazing result with appropriate techniques and it would drop the price to about 30 for that size) and I'm not sure about the Blu-Ray but hey that's what they think we would like and I think we could agree that SE more often has really nice Collector's.
Really it's the conversion to pounds that's giving me evil intents >__>
I wonder what the other gamers must think of us for breaking the SE EU site... <.<
don't worry, we shall break the NA site soon too...
CE comes with free shipping from the SE store
Hour 10
Hope is fading. No sign of Heavensward CE. I have been abandoned by the Devs with no sign of rescue in sight. All I wanted was a dragon statue, but I will perceiver. If anyone finds this log, know that I tried to survived by pressing F5 every 10 minutes until despair took me.
Still down for me
Signed in for the first since 1.0 beta...
Been sat here since 6:30 in the morning.
I bet money that the store will re-open at 6pm, the same time the game goes on sale in NA
Still not online as far as i'm aware
Is the shipping free on the SE store for games? I don't remember but I think it is so you'd be right including shipping fee in the equation, thanks :)
Edit: So it is so you're completely right, I really should know better >__>
Also from SE's official EU twitter account:

We're still getting an estimate on when the site will be back online.
We're aware everyone wants to get a CE and will notify you beforehand!
Just now:

10 hours... this is ridiculous.
So when do they charge you anyway? when it ships or right away?
Sadly SE are not the best when it comes to fixing issues. All we can do, as sad as it sounds, is to wait.
They also aren't the best at keeping updated. I am a big supporter of Square Enix as I love the FF series... but it has been hours since we got a dev update. all the latest info has come from twitter and thats it.
they're just the mouth, though
Devs/Reps, I don't mind who... would just be nice to get some up to date info from someone official on the forums. We were getting updates earlier. But it has been several hours now.

they updated this though, showing us all the goodies we get for pre ordering and if we get CE. :D
To be fair, there's nothing to update us on. The site isn't currently working, and hasn't been all day since around 13 minutes after it went online. No explanation as to why or a reasonable timeframe either. Also no comment about why SE seem to ignore exchange rates and we're having to pay the same amount in GBP as the North Americans are paying dollars. Current exchange rates put us in the UK paying a whopping £43 extra for the exact same content because ... well, no apparent reason. Honestly, this is a more pressing issue than when the site will be back up, in my opinion.
I do find it amusing they are letting people know in advance when the site is about to go up, because that's almost ensuring another crash as everyone attempts to access it at the same time. Almost "better" to leave everyone in the dark and gradually learn for themselves that it's finally working ...
