PSN is down

I got past the error code and finally managed to get in game! Don't know how many times I tried to do this but looks like you just need the luck on your side.

into PSN now cant get into FFXIV

Manged to get on a couple of hours ago, still ok. JP psn.

I managed to log into PSN and after a few attempts spamming the launcher got into FFXIV. Never logging out again! :D

I still can't access FFXIV ARR even though I can access my other games via PSN, still can't tend to my crops, and I am still going to be furious at SE for the unnecessary loss of valuable resources I worked hard for if they die before I can log in and water them. Since I can access other online games via PSN, and since FFXIV ARR requires my user ID and password anyway to log in, why is this an issue? I should be able to log in right now, having to launch the application, getting an error message that requires me to restart it, and repeat over and over is a pain.

same here, I log on PSN without launching FFxiv, it keeps showing (NP-36147-1) error code.

I've got one better. When I logged out it removed the password which I am not 100% sure about so even if it connects it might be the wrong password. I can't reset my password either until they finish maintenance. Oh joy!

It seems to be alternating between telling me the server connection was lost and the network is undergoing maintenance.

If you get in and plan to stay in, particularly if your PS4 is new like mine, check your system settings. I forgot to check mine. It was set to auto close any application not active for an hour, so I thought I left myself logged in last night when I managed to get on, but woke up this morning to find my system off. I just turned this feature off, and now I'm trying to get back in.

I am online with my PS4 all day long.

I managed to log on last night past midnight EST. I decided to log off to sleep though because I thought that if I woke up early enough, the script kiddos wouldn't be up yet. Guess I was wrong. XO;

Still down, cannot even play Dragon Age for crying out loud. A page I visited on the playstation app said cannot load due to scheduled maintenance, way to cover up the real facts and what has happened Sony. And someone mentioned compensation, well when have they done so on the previous attacks? We should get some for sure however. I feel for those of you that had scheduled weddings, and planted flowers, etc, but in the end sadly it is a Sony issue. Perhaps you can contact SE support if you get back on to see if they can possibly do anything?

This is utterly ridiculous...

some reports said the attack only lasted 12 hrs...

i find the situation from sony pretty inexcusable :(

my opinion remains unchanged.

Sad part is, now thanks to that fat fuck kim dotcom giving them shit to let off the Xbox Live DDoS they're going to expect the same from some one who plays on the playstation. They claim they're doing this to show both Microsoft and Sony they need to fix their security issues when in reality they're just fucking kids who run scripts and now get free shit to back off. I hope they all hang.

Didn't Kim dotcom give them the stuff to let both systems go? I'm pretty sure at this point it is all Sony...

And as a PS4 player I say thanks, this would be a solution and would allow us to still play when future attacks happen

Nope his tweet only mentioned Xbox Live because he wanted to play Destiny.

It was back to normal for a short period of time but went down again. So either everyone and their grandma tried to login to PSN and caused something similar and it went down again or the more likely case they were hit again by a DDoS. I was briefly able to get on the PSN through my vita to try and download the Hanayamata game but I was error coded out when I tried to enter a PSN card to add the required funds and haven't been able to get back on since.

well time to update PC version :p

Managed to get the PC version up & running on my iMac, running Parallels & XP, but it's not pretty. I'm seeing strange objects that should be out of sight, ghost into the foreground. Like a layer of the horizon floating over my character when the camera points in a certain direction.
