Basically, this.
I am cool with people grouping and doing their own thing and maybe doing whatever they want in the DF. But if people are working towards winning, there's no room for slacking.
If I join a group, I go by whatever rules that group has and whatever the leader/group asks of me. If they feel I am not contributing, I bow out.

I'm gonna make this short cause I think we have digressed enough. While I can see your "What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger" view, its hard to ascertain what level of mental stability strangers you meet over the internet have. What might seem trivial might cause another to disintegrate into a pile of quaking goo.

Also, people tend to only regret actions and look for recourse only after s*** hits the fan. Take the Amanda Todd incident for example. How many "anti-bullying" rallies were there after the incident? A lot. But one would wonder with all the precursors to the incident, why was action not taken earlier and only after a loss of life has occured before people start panicking? Because people tend to forget things after a while and even after the incident, how many more similar cases have happened? Quite a few. Hence, I would like on a personal level to do my part and err on the side of caution. Instead of saying "You suck noob", it doesn't cause you anything to say "Hey I think there may be a problem".

i was in titan ex and a player was constantly complaining the dps was to slow and how one know that with out useing a parser he/she was contantanly being disruptive to every one and we stared to mess up alot so since this person was starting to iratate me so i just left and took the 30 min penalty since the game offers me a lot of stuff to do i wont play with ppl that harrases with a parser

So the player did not attack you and was pointing out the issue the group was having without singling out anyone or harassing anyone.

From my point of view you are the abuser since you left like an angry elitist, just not about failing but about someone pointing out the group weakness.

Yeah it is 100% his fault and not yours /s. The funny part is that you are assuming he is using a parser while Titan Ex is the easiest fight in the game to identify group DPS level, low or high. How? Easy, Titan rotations are based on his health, he ends one rotation and start the other based on Damage done to him or rather his health %. It is 100% possible to end his phase rotations before they are even halfway through based on high dps and vice versa if DPS was low.

No wonder players such as yourself are struggling with Titan Ex, you are not willing to try or improve. Please carry me is the motto of such behaviour.

"My party was wiping on titan's heart cause it would always explode before we killed it and someone in the party complained that us dps were slacking ! How dare he, sneaky *** of a ***** using a parser to harass us poor dps player !"

Exactly the kind of mentality that would explain why one would want to use a parser in the first place.

first of all you calling me an elitist you are wrong i dont even get to play much unlike those whom can play 8hrs or more i have a full time job a wife and i see her only 3 hours a day if i am lucky she works full time day and i full time night so i get maybe 3hours a day if i am lucky and i never was carried in any event i actully worked for it and i never used the so called parser and i have been playing since release it took me eight months to level dom and dow in which i worked hard for all that and any player is not obligated to stay in any part of the game after all it is just a game and i have a life i run all the arronds during the day wile the wife is at work as well as house work and make her dinner for when she gets home so in my book family first game second and if some one is irratating me i dont have to stay i have never beaten bcob thorn march , i have no allgen gear i have only mnk geared execpt belt and jewlery and crappy gear on the othrs and snm/sch only at 30

There is literally NO WAY you can say with any certainty that you were not carried if you do not use a parser.

It is simply impossible to make a claim like that as fact. More often than not people who believe this garbage are trash themselves.

Just on a couple of things you said... how often you play does not determine whether you are an elitist or not, so countering with how often you play doesn't disprove that statement. Elitist would be a state of mind where you put yourself above others (for whatever reason you deem valid). The thinking they're above others usually ends up resulting in a person leaving when groups aren't up to their standard, or raging on others. Giving the illusion you're better than someone else by listing your real life accomplishments and implying others aren't "family first", or don't have a life because they don't agree with you, can also be considered elitist.

Also, as someone else pointed out.. without really knowing your dps, you can't be 100% sure you're not being carried. This game actually relies a lot less on gear than people think. A nicely skilled group can easily get through T4 in Coil in nothing but Darklight gear. It all comes down to using the correct skills when those skills are needed, and most people actually don't make any effort to look into rotations for their class, or spend time at training dummies to figure it out for themselves. A lot of those people end up doing sub-par dps, and can easily hold a group back. You can't tell who it is without a parser though, at least not anywhere near easily (you'd have to take your focus off the boss, watch the other players, and know what the rotations and buffs for all the other classes were).. so what happens is people end up scolding all of dps. Those scolding people, are going to scold regardless of parser involvement. If they're doing so without constructive criticism, and just insulting, then they're likely the jerks. If them scolding is "dps isn't high enough, make sure to use cooldowns during x phase" then.. that's not insulting at all, or annoying. That also doesn't prove that person has a parser. In fact, if the person were being general, they likely don't run a parser at all.. otherwise they'd be able to single low dps out and go from there.

Because someone irritated you it was THEIR fault you messed up? Yeesh, people's logic these days. It's easy in Titan EX to tell when DPS is low depending on where the heart dies (before he summons bombs, during his landslide, after his landslide). If your DPS kills heart just as he spawns bombs / before, their DPS is good/great. If it's just as he's doing landslide, it's mediocre. If it's post landslide when he's stomping, it's very bad. Boom, there you go. That's a way to tell how DPS is doing without use of a parser.

The amount of hours you play does not make you elitist. I know friends who play 3-4 hours a day, every day and haven't even touched coil. I also have people in my static who have cleared T5 over a dozen times and are the nicest people you'd encounter. Just because you play a lot has nothing to do with elitism. It's a mentality and way of coming off that's entirely subjective in that regard. I'm also surprised you're saying you've never been carried. If you don't know how much you're actually contributing to the fight, how can you say that?

I think he just meant that the party was failing alot, one particular member was spamming pt chat with negativity and he got tired of reading it so he dropped pt. He didnt say it was the negative player's fault they were failing. He just got tired of seeing the negative remarks. I don't blame him for dropping pt. I probably would have too.

It was hard to tell based on his grammar. I thought he was saying they were messing up due to how disruptive the guy supposedly was. But hey, I still stand by all my other points! lol :)

You know, I bet some of those here who pretty much say, "they pay to play and have fun, so they can do what they want". Are people that used to rant on the forum before about the people who stood still at the start of entrances in an instance.
