Some ppl are so utterly stuck on this failed system its so funny.
Its like fighting reason and Consumer aka Fan happinessis is the "IN" thing for SE and their self appointed "player reps"

If SE could actually pull the type of fans new and old that quit back to the game(which is highly unlikely judging by the progress) the market wards would crash everyday we and they know this, and so do the "player reps" denial seems to be in fashion for some ppl when it comes to FFXIV, namely all 10 of the ppl that still even bother to log into this crafting sim.

I really hate this is happenening because I thought that this was gonna be an advanced sequel to SE's 1st MMO in the FF series, like most did.

Man how could they get it SOOOO wrong lmao damn if they had at least got the damn classes right, wth were they thinking? >.>GLD MRD THM CON say what you will about XI but when it hit the US it was the ish.
Sorry to rant its just mind boggling how they could botch this game so badly when the company had a great blueprint.... At this point If we see a FINAL producers letter i wouldnt at all be surprised =/ 1.18 is crucial.
Spending this much time in forums when the game is up&running is rediculous the "player reps"
talk ish about ppl complaining, but they spend the most time in the forums with some having 1,000-3,000+

Like I mentioned earlier, the only reason I can see SE trying to keep this failed market ward retainer system is to keep open the possibility of micro transactions and charging for new retainers.

What they fail to consider is that there won't make any money on micro transactions if there's no one left playing the game.

They can still keep their retainer microtransactions with a text based system. 10 slots per retainer you set up in the wards.

Literally no functionality that MW provides with physical retainers can't be replicated in a text based format.

Yeah, that's true, but I think (just speculating) that in SE's mind, they can "justify" real money microtransactions if players had to pay for a real in-game manifestation.

You don't think a high thirties Famitsu score at PS3 launch is enough to pull in 1 mill worldwide? I'd wager you're wrong... granted many wont stay past the free month.... But such is life with MMO's

Does this mean that the Dev team intends to make accessing retainers easier even if you aren't in the same area?

Ex. Being able to check my retainer in Gird when I'm in LL :o?

That would be wonderful, even though I haven't been anywhere outside of Ul'dah for some time.
