Do you feel that getting to level 50 is exploiting the game because 99% of players get to level 50?

As long as the primary objective is being accomplished in the allotted time, how is that exploiting?

Honestly, if you complete the objectives within the first 2 or 3 minutes, that's exploiting the FATE.

Knowing that FATES come directly from WAR's and Rift's version of PQs, it would be worth looking at how those games handle the situation. If you recall, when Rift was first released the various rifts had ranking system, rewards based on the ranking system, pretty much everything FATES currently have. Eventually though Trion purged the rating system and XP/seal rewards were given locked value and items were a percent chance to drop instead (Granted, a person who actually opened the rift gets a small bonus, but lets forget about that since FFXIV FATEs don't involve players to that same degree). The same thing could easily be applied to FATES here. Instead of the current mob XP + FATE XP+Medal Chance, SE could simplify it down to one bulk reward and a percent chance for FATE rewards such as the minions as needed. This way you don't have to worry about people farming the FATEs, people complaining about FATEs rewarding only AoE groups, no one being able to get X minion, ect.

Let's try and figure out who's a jerk and who isn't a jerk.

The FC of lvl 50's trying to complete it just to do it? Jerks.

The fresh players who have no idea what's going on. Not jerks. They're just doing what it says. It's not hard to just send a polite tell explaining the situation to them.

To the people who aren't in a FATE group or whatever. You're a jerk by killing the lambs because you're not in on the xp spam. Join or make a group

To the lvl 50's doing these FATEs for the seals. Sorry, but I think you're a jerk. It's selfish to ruin that for so many people just because you want seals faster.

To the people sending death threats and being a jerk to the other jerks. Be polite and explain why not to complete the objective.

On gilgamesh I've been going there every now and then when the fate is up and I intentionally finish it as fast as possible. People should not be able to get 100k+ exp within the course of a few minutes, leveling is easy enough as is.

Its easy to do 1st time around, but lvling another class is tedious and fate grinding is almost required due to it being far superior exp then dungeons or leves. Add to the fact that you've most likely run out of quests due to lvling the first time 50 and it becomes less and less easy to do.

Personally, I think its a jerk move to do what you're doing because you have no reason for doing it other then to get on other people's nerves.

Don't put words in other peoples mouths, I never implied I do it to get on peoples nerves.

chaining mobs for xp is not an intended part of the use of fates, HOWEVER the developers have stated they currently have no plans to change this.

This isn't an exploit for 2 reasons
1: Monsters continually spawn, and never stop. This is by design of the fate.
2: The fate gives you a certain amount of time to complete it. You have a choice of when you can complete it. This, again.. by design.

If they didn't intend it to be this way, monsters would stop spawning, and you'd have less time to do the fate. Or a combo of both. Get over it. Im not even 50 DOW/DOM, but i saw people doing it while leveling MIN.

I really do not see how it a exploit since. It is how it is design for that style of that fate. Also it takes a server population to coordinated it. To not finish it until there 1 min left on it. There is also like 10+ other fates. You can do the same thing with. I think people need calm down on the fact we can get to lv50 in decent amount of time. This will now allow them to just concentrate on all new content to be lv50+ content. They will not need 2 go back years from now to nerf them. If and when they increase the level cap past lv50 they can make the exp gain and stuff for that content hard as heck. Were it takes 6mnths to one year to get five more levels.
