FFXIV 1.0-1.23b Story: A Retrospective
I think this is quite fitting here.
Thought I would be a little shameless and bump this for new and interested players in 3.0. As a sidenote I have a few dates I will be adding and will continue to be adding more in the future, I do not play to stop with this little project of mine.
Edit: Feel free to toss dates at me, it will help me out as things can be easily missable.
Bumping this thread to ask if we can get some updates on the timeline with regards to HW info?
This can be added: 1200 years ago there was a war between the coerthas predecessors and native dragons over space in central Alabathia. It ended with Shiva brokering peace and her people built all those ruins in Forelands and Churning Mists between then and Thordan's betrayal 1000 years ago.
Then there's Azys Lla. No solid evidence yet but it can be inferred that Tiamat was captured some time after Allag conquered Meracydia, but before Dalamud went up. Then there's the thing (dragon?) that broke free of its prison just under 3.7k years ago.
Correct chronology on the Allagan History would be closer to this, I think, all dates roughly 5000 years ago:
- Syrcus Tower completed at the peak of Allagan supremacy, empire begins to stagnate and decline
- Amon resurrects the first emperor, Xande, who begins a massive new campaign to restore the glory of the empire
- Bahamut slain
- Bahamut summoned as primal by Tiamat
- primal Bahamut defeated by Omega, imprisoned
- Meracydia conquered, Tiamat imprisoned
- Dalamud completed to house primal Bahamut
- revolutionaries march on Syrcus Tower
- error in Dalamud energy link calculations triggers a release of energy from Syrcus Tower, ending the Third Astral Era
Unfortunately, while we do have exact times for much of the happenings on Azys Lla, we don't know where the other events fit around them.
I don't get who the unknown dragon that escaped from Azys Lla is or why the Dragon was they at Azys Lla.
