I have to agree, I'd rather see the 'more wild' race that he mentioned rather then veira... can you imagine their height of an elezen w/ those ears? We would have to raise doorways everywhere~!

I don't care much about Race Sex, but I agree that we don't need Bunny people around...

I love how everyone is bashing the Viera race but they obviously don't pay attention to trends in asian mmos these days. Look at TERA for example: High-elf, Human, Elin, Aman, Baraka, Castanic, and Popori. Two are "demon" like. Elin are like miqute but you can choose what animal features you have(ears and tail). Popori are animals through and through. Baraka is Male only. Elin Female only. Popori is i believe Male only. Honestly, many others and myself were fine with some of the races in XIV being single gender. To this day we still don't understand why they had to devote resources to "even out" races like it really mattered. Seriously it is stuff like this that drives game developers crazy. Look at Yoshi-P for example, he doesnt want to bring Viera into the game (even though a lot of people want it) because people who like to complain about not having a male or female version of a race will complain about only haveing the choice of Viera female. On another note, why do people really care about something so trivial as this? Your ONE character can do ALL classes/jobs, so what if you can't choose a male version of a Viera or some other single gender race. IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD.

um.. Yoshida decided it, and last I checked he is Asian. So unless your argument is that Yoshida isnt Asian then I dont really see what you are getting at Fantasy9.

He doesnt want to add Vierra, he doesnt like one sex races. I agree with him. Now, I wouldnt mind Vierra as a new clan for miqotes or if miqotes werent in game but having a "sexy beast race" already I see it is a waste of a great opportunity for another type of race we dont have, and this is exactly what Yoshida is saying as well.

tera is probably not the best game to do the compare here....most people who play ffxiv rather not play tera or thought it was not so great (I said most not all) then there are other who like it. I don't think they are really bashing the race just they don't want to see it in a game where it would not make sense seeing there is one furry like animal race where two would ruin the game.

he may be asian but if you remember correctly, he drew his inspiration on how to make the game from multiple AMERICAN MMOs

And? You dont think those other "Asian" MMOs didnt pull inspiration from American MMOs (100% sure most looked at WoW)? The world shares.

Seriously? I find it funny that people call the Miqute "furry like" because all they are are humans with cat ears and a tail. No other part of them has "fur" even their hair is normal.
