1.0 Nostalgia

What I miss:

- being one of the few people who ALWAYS rode on a goobbue

- hamlet defense runs

- running like hell through Natalan to get to the wolf camp or certain coffers

- Imperial invasion events

- Ifrit/Good King Moggle Mog runs (didn't like how Garuda was)

- farming Over-aspected Crystals from Atomos at various camps with tons of people

- DoT spells, Water, Shell, Shock Spikes, Stygian Spikes, Punishing Barbs, Siphon MP, and a ton of other old moves

- doing levequest parties at Nophica's Wells and Broken Water back when they were good sources of exp

- seeing Dalamud get bigger with each patch

- the crazy weather patterns, flying airships, and fighting mobs in town right before 1.0 ended

I really miss those few times I forced my friends to play, and although I PL'd them to several 50's in a matter of days, I couldn't ever keep them playing.

If we're going all the way back, I miss when Limsa was so packed that you had a hard time getting through the market row. The city was so aliveright after launch.

I also miss player collision.

Battle Regimen is a good one... there was nothing sweeter than watching all those skills release all at once - battles were never the same after they took it from us.

I miss my LS buddy the most. It was the first time since my beggining at FFXI that I had a LS I can call home :) They were just a bunch of crazy but I love them, they appreciate me. I wasn't just LS buddy like most LS. I was someone, and for that I love FFXIV very much.

And I miss Dalamud getting closer each patch too :)

I miss slowly walking through the treants, and praying those darn spriggan didn't see me.

Man those were the good ole days...I miss 15-man behest...I truly hope the new version is similar to this or even more like campaign.

I miss the curious billy goats! It was Tanakas initial mob behavior that gave them 'Life". (Good luck in all your future endeavors Tanaka san!)

I also miss the feeling of AWE when I logged in for the first time @ Gridania. (someone hold my hand, I'm so excited but I'm lost, what do I do first?) / T_T \

I miss most of all the grinding of my Botanist to 45 and stocking up on MATs for Carpenter(which was way behind) lol!

I gotta say I miss my monk the most! "Kick,Punch- it's all in the MIND!! You wanna test me, {death} is all you'll FIND!!"


There's more stuff I miss but I put what I miss the most here first(of course, because it's been on my mind the most)

I actually miss the abilities and spells before the big ability/job incursion...I actually like having a lot of choices something I wish would be implemented in ARR. THM CNJ ARC were a lot more fun before all the changes.

I miss the amazing feeling I felt from watching the opening cinematic and the first cutscene.

The feeling I had when creating my character, Edge Faire, was the best, most ominous feeling I ever had. In ANY MMO. Perhaps it was this music (http://youtu.be/acKjDzghvUY), but for the first time in a long time, I felt like there was something in store for me. Something intangible but great. An adventure like no other, where I can forge friendships and explore an unknown world, instead of the usual delve into the cheap WoW clone that I was so used to.

When I couldn't stop smiling when I completed my first and only AF set, so far.

Hanging in Ul'Dah with my good friends in the Gypsies Soul. I miss Solutra Mortemobire and everyone else, and can't wait to see them again.

Once, when I had a horrible day, I logged into the game, trekked out into the wilderness, found a nice spot to sit, turned the music off, and just relaxed.

Fighting raptors for hours.

Finding a nice group for chocobo escorting and doing that for hours, talking with my groupmates about random, awesome stuff.
