I will think about it in beta, however, it would kill the community for me even 8 party members probably I am only the one who without a mic and see this party being silent for me. I have had to use my brain to figure out what's going on. :(

Join an exp party and then a leader would ask "anyone wanna voice chat? join me!" then I don't even know what to say but let them ignore me and enjoy myself instead hoping they don't kick me out for being an anti-social person. :p

Nevertheless, I am still getting feedbacks from my friends though.

I don't see a issue like i said before FFXI people on PS2 play with other endgame ls without issue every endgame ls i was in the early days did not use vent,ts and such and they was no phone that even allow to use it so people just keep on playing and working together.

If it a matter of people being lazy and don't want to explain things then there always one person in the LS would be happy to explain things in /ls to everyone who can't listen in. I know many ls who have ts,mumble,vent and they don't even talk much they still type and do get things done without issue.

Still doesn't mean people wanna play while having their phone next tot hem or the laptop all the time. This is the main reason why a lot of console players hate pc players for saying stupid stuff like this.

That's not worth for the dev team to build one and later to improve it to make it better while third-party programs are still improving.

Well, that's their loss.

Again, if you wish to continue discussing about VoIP then I don't have anymore information about it as Yoshi-P already stated that they will not make one and suggested you to use a third-party one.

You don't want your phone next to you? really so when someone text or call you going to walk to the room or w/e area you have to phone to pick it up?

Sorry but everyone who have a smart phone they don't leave it laying around the house and forget about it so having the smart phone next to use while listing into mumble,vent or ts is not that bad and you can even talk and it sound great i try it. So i not sure where you going with the smart phone thing because everyone keep it near them.

So people want the PS3 (which is already being pushed to its limits with this game, hence a lower than 720 res, lower quality textures etc) to run VOIP too?

ppl need to stop forcing others to VoIP, if they dont want it they dont want it.

There is plenty of ways to gain access to VoIP, if they do not want it, then don't pressure them. Slowly ask them nicely and keep ask them nicely. Im sure they will warm up to it.

Instead of blantly go around forcing throat down and shit.

I prefer they not put a built-in voip into the game too if it is going to cause bandwith issues. The rest of the cons of voice chat also outweigh the pros as said by yoshida and other players.
