Need better incentive to Commendate

For me it's a bit of very situational when I hand out commendations
Like when I used to have jobs to level up I just handed them out quickly to just anyone for my challenge log. Though I sometimes had to race for that when the window takes like 1-2 secs to open and adventurers already left quickly.

But nowadays outside of job leveling it so far has been for like:
* Same race or funny portrait
* A caster/healer raising a bunch of people.
* A last standing tank finishing off the last 5-10% of a boss remaining exp or a tank trying to keep me alive while I play Physical ranged.
* Healer carrying the party.
* (I can't remember well if I gave it for that while I often receive them when playing on tank) I guess doing wall to wall's very quick??
* Someone giving out a dungeon tips like how in some old dungeons (Cutter's cry & Stone Vigil) you can just run all the way to the boss and wipe there because of the wipe condition Dawntrail added to make shortcuts appear.

You're not owed commendations by anyone. Even if you're playing your absolute best, maybe people in the party just liked a Viera's glam more than yours. Or there was someone with a funny name. Or a DPS had used LB3 on the last boss or caster used LB3 on some trash at a particularly good moment. Many reasons why people might not give commendations to you specifically.

Don't let it get you worked up, play the game long enough and you're bound to reach 1.5k comms.

Literally just play healer in dungeons. Most of the time your tank will give you the comm or you get lucky and get 2 or 3 comms. If you play tank, play as a warrior and go as fast as possible will usually result in at least 1 comm.

Playing as a dps in 8 man+ content you usually have to play RDM or SMN and get a raise on someone to get a comm or you can get lucky and get the pity comm.

I have about 9000 on my main and 5000 on my alts. Just play Tank and Healer and you get them even when you are having an absolute stinker.

As Tank, if you are rotating all your cooldowns and Invuns and mass pulling in expert you will get so many because people appreciate when you go fast and healers appreciate when you don't melt.

As Healer, just be a DPS healer that keeps regen uptime. Tanks love that. Skip the RP macros.

As a DPS, I'm sorry, just swap to Tank or Healer. People rarely comm you even when you play an absolute blinder. It's unfortunately the way of the game.

You don't need to 'farm' them. They come super fast on these roles.

TBF I wouldn't mind letting us all have like 4 comms each time since it means I can help others to get their mentor roles or mounts faster.

The main reason I always comm is creative glam and/or food names are my fav along with being overall friendly to others during the trials/dungeon. Also, I give the healer or tank the comm unless something terrible happened, and we all died multiple times without their help, or the tank did single pulls the entire way during a capped or EXDR.

Finally, I often play as RDM for the reset day, so I get comms for just raising others or carrying PF to save us if the healer died, but I can only do this once because of the long CD limitations.

You have one healer at 100 and the rest at 70... You sure you're talking to your party? I can't fathom having healers with those levels and not already being over 1500... Unless you didn't use DF on your healers that often. Just literally, do a few rous as healer, say your hellos, be a good person to be around in the group and you'll easily see triple and septuple comms depending on the duty size.

Portraits and Adventurer Plates are just so whatever to me, I don't even check anyone else's/don't comm anyone for theirs, lol.

People like this are the reason why guildhests are the most common thing in mentor roulette. I actively refuse to give commendations to anyone who asks for them. Do not take this advice.

You say this, but a common thing I hear from people who farm out Mentor Roulette is that they prefer Guildhests over something like Praet or an EX that they will in all likelyhood not clear, it's not a great situation, but this is how it goes.
