In order to do this you have to actively exploit the game, have to know it's an exploit, and you are breaking the rules by doing it.
It doesn't set the precedent that "Your hard work will be taken away" it sets the precedent "If you break the rules you will be punished"
Botters don't get banned often because the software that's used on a small scale uses keyboard inputs, and SE won't take action because it "could" be a player, even if it's obviously not, while this is definably against the rules that SE has set regarding housing.
I don't care about protecting the 20-30 people who own 80% of fc housing, all that does is make the game worse for normal players.
