After playing for another 60min or so, it happened once again for me.
While Im glad that Im actually managing to play my 2-3 pvp matches with like 1 or 0 crashes, it is still there somewhere, so I'll be lurking around here for a while.
At first I was afraid it could be some faulty hardware since I just recently upgraded my pc, but this crap ONLY happens with FFXIV
i may have fixed my game, not only my GPU is about 35% at high(desktop) graphics, and it can spike up to 70% when doing heavy stuff, otherwise its pretty low, and this could have also fixed the Dx11 error i been getting.
what i did was reinstall my GPU in the PC and completely uninstalled reinstall FF14 and deleted the save folder in Doc/my games.
i think ill be ok now. ^^
I also fixed mine! I was waiting until I was sure about it.
On saturday morning my PC 'froze' 3 min after logging on FFXIV, after my hard reset and queueing into PVP I had a blue screen, so I just zeroed everything:
- I did a complete reinstall of my Windows with only my SSD connected (and later on activated my other disk and ssd in the windows Disk Management).
- During the Windows install I completely formatted ALL my SSDs and HDDs, even the ones I left deactivated. I didnt leave a single file behind.
- After the install, for my GPU driver I went with "custom install", unchecked all optional boxes, and checked the "clean install" one.
- I updated my Windows as normal in the Windows Update.
- Lastly, I also went to my BIOS and disabled my Memory RAM XMP.
Been playing all sort of games since saturday evening with zero problems.
Most importantly, I created a Restore Point on my windows as soon as I noticed everything was working as it should.
I hope y'all can find what works best for you, its one of the worst problems I ever had and I work with IT, ffs.
