Funnily enough this is the selfsame issue I have with "DEI", or "Affirmative Action", or "Positive Discrimination", just because you give it a new name, a shiny coat of paint and billions in marketing doesn't make racism not racism and it doesn't make sexism not sexism. "Whites need not apply" is no different to "No black people". Once upon a time someone famously gave a speech about being judged not by the colour of one's skin but by the content of one's character, when I was growing up I believed in that (I still do) and I thought the world believed in it too, it's sad to see that vision thrown to the curb by the same political parties who advocated for it and to see it used and abused to clearly racist ends.
