It is a bad raid, just feels far too spongy and long.
I don't mind mechanics, but it's just long, and slow, and the hardest mechanic is not dying of boredom or falling asleep before the end of a boss. Probably wouldn't be as bad if it weren't for some of the downtime bosses, e.g., final boss of Copied Factory, or if the mechanics weren't so spread apart.
Much prefer HW and SB alliance raid series. But they need to look at Nier, ARR, and EW series. As much as I have been farming Aglaia, skipping the Balance mechanic shouldn't be possible.

Then nier raid bosses have high HP because it's a crossover with nier automata. It incorporates bullet hell mechanics and high HP bosses like the nier games

idk, maybe I'm weird, but I dont like long encounters.. if it goes more than 25 minutes I'm thinking "okay, can I leave now?"
-
I just want to be able to block certain raids and duties in the roulette. I think that would solve some problems. Sincerely, a typical Ancient Labyrinth and Sycrus tower enjoyer.

People are like “the nier raids are so long they just repeat mechanics over and over again” but 99% of groups will kill each boss right before they loop, so you may see similar mechanics but they are always on different patterns, your DPS has to be absolute hot garbage to even see the nier bosses loop.
I think people just don’t like a typical alliance raid because myths and CT are ilvl scaled to 17 minutes long

I wish I could get the Heavensward and Stormblood 24 mans more often! (I have been seeing at least Mhach more lately, so thanks).
But yeah I think they made Nier too annoying and then went and made EW's too easy. Hope the 11 raids and challenging but not overly long.

I'm all in favour of vetoing Nier raids.
Not because of any mechanical concerns, but because every time they pop I'm reminded of the atrociously bad story that came attached with them which I've desperately tried to block from my memory.

All my complains about the alliance raids would be fixed if they would stop deleting our skills while we're level synced. Some jobs straight up cease to be beneath Level 70 (and viper is boring as sin at 80)

Did the CT changes actually changed something? Raid distribution seems about the same to me.
Nier raids are fine. Stop obsessing about time to complete and just play.

Nier raids are fun and they die a lot faster now with the new jobs. So I mean, if they're taking a while that's well, some people in your group are really dropping the ball.
The real thing that should happen is the CT raids should be moved to main scenario roulette. It'd give more variety to that roulette and you'd get actual fun raids more often in alliance raids. With that said, I actually do get CT a lot less now with the changes. I've seen a lot of Weeping City/Dun Scaith/Rabanastre and we take those.
