Environment graphical update looks good
Armor graphical update? Appreciatable
Character graphical update? Barely any noticeable difference, and I say that while having to zoom in to see those "barely any noticeable difference"

Yes it needed them badly. I wonder how much better the update could have been if PS 4 and Xbox series S wouldn't hold it back.

at the bare minimum the AA options are worth it,

everything else is just nice bonuses.

Yes it was needed I have been playing years so a nice change and fresh for my eyes. As for the character's they look so much nicer and I am glad they did it. Just a few tweaks here and there like lips gloss and cat teefs and it will be fine.

14s 2.0 edition was made for the ps3 , and many assets are from 11 which is early ps2 . it was desperatly needed

im only saddened that they couldnt also kill the ps4 so the differences could be stronger.

The problem is, especially GPUs are very expensive and they become obsolete very quickly. A new problem is also, that many game devs develop and "optimize" their games with upscaling in mind. So i can understand, that SQEX is conservative here.

Most compelling reason I heard [but I am now paranoid I dreamt it!] is Yoshi P said that aside from aesthetics or appearances, it wasn't fair for him to gimp his developers progress/professional development by forcing them to stick to antiquated systems with no prospects to learn new technology.
