If the game is getting harder then we will need dps metres. Official ones.

The only way I could agree with an official dps meter was if it was a personal (visible only to you) tool that tracked your current dps against an average of your expected dps for your equipment. Basically a metric to help you get better because that Stone, Sea, Sky challenge thing is a joke.

A personal " Death Recap " would probably be a lot more helpful then a DPS meter. Something in-game that can actually point out the players mistake so they can learn from it.

Pointing out...

- Vulnerability Stacks, DamageDowns upon Death
- Any other Debuffs pointed out upon Death
- To what mechanic or attack it all happened
- Amount of Damage that (over)killed you
- How much HP you had when it happened
- Self Mitigation you personally used or didn't use

I'd suggest or rather see this first before an official DPS meter, mhm. Then again, these tools already exists and then there's also Post analyzing through something like XIVanalysis that people use with the help of FFlogs...

I also think people make elephants out of this issue we don't even know how difficult its going to be made what they will release. Like 95% of the content is like... dumb? It's not like Yoshi-P is going to bring Extreme difficulty into Casual content and onto every player that goes into DawnTrail, I just don't see that happening =u=;

I mean they have them now but it's a Grey area since some people tend to weaponize the meter against others. If it was a personal one then I'm all for it. Group ones. Just no.

It's boils back down to, him being too vague and there being many other ways to add stress back to the game

why would they need dps meters the game was literally harder in every previous xpac and we never had them and did fine.
