Savage mount with particle effects if you clear in week 1

Would widen the scope - make it a time window until next patch that upgrades gear ilvl, thats gonna be a few months at least.

And rewards should be something more meaningless, like housing items/walls in raid design, glamour lvl1 item like a boss weapon or gear piece, adventure plate design in the style of the raid, titles. If you wanna give speedrunner a reason, then gear with set bonus that only drops while the content is live.

With that amount of ppl who buy week one clears off of gil selling sites, this mount would prove absolutely nothing.

Also ppl have these things called lives and jobs. Does't make them any worse of a player than ppl who have all the free time in the world and can grind 12 hour raid sessions. Get real.

Even with all the free time I have getting the new relic tools not weapons tools. Is already a time sink in itself. So can u imagine the pressure of balancing your life and a damn raid XD would provide. Like the post above says Jobs / Lives would take over than sitting on a virtual raid.

Absolutely BAD idea.

I'm all for the OPs proposal, with one caveat. In order to obtain that special mount, each and every group that attempts a clear during week 1 can only play on any given day until they wipe. The instance will allow them back in 24 hours after the wipe.

Seems fair. After all, this isn't about time spent learning the instance or anything, right?

If week 1 raiders want a mount, more power to you. I don't really care.

Just dont be surprised when RMT sales skyrocket and your exclusive mount is one that anyone can get with a swipe of a credit card.

It's just going to be the same thing as anyone flexing an Ultimate weapon in Limsa and getting side eyed: Did you actually clear it or did you just buy it?

To make it plain, it's not going to be the grand achievement you might want it to be.
