What the flip is going on in this thread now?
how did this shitpost turn into a debate on evolution
Humans, Miqos, Roegs, Auras, Lalafells, Elezen, Viera also is animals... we all are animals including the people sitting behind their PC's/Consoles/Macs playing this game.... so it is kind of an irrelevant question, however I hope was able to give some clarification or somewhat a solution to the question asked.
why does this thread have 7 pages
NA, explain
Ask those that think they are smart by pointing out how others decide to play along or be serious in troll/meme/wronganswer threads.
They'll likely tell you that people are blind.
and then someone gets it "twisted"
<me, I just step back and watch, unless its something worth replying to. even if as a joke. or being serious.[or serious, in order to flip the "smart" ones joke/expectations into the floor>
If Hrothgar arn't animals, would that mean they wouldnt enjoy ear scratches and chin rubs?

Yeah, I know how "well" religious talks end on the internet, but here goes...
I mean, I believe in God, but I also believe in science and logic. My faith tends to be stronger in the latter, however, instead of the former. Both can exist, however, at least in my opinion. Perhaps our creator (provided there is one) set these events in motion or something. I also believe that there's plenty that can't be scientifically proven, and perhaps never will be, largely because a lot of things are far beyond our understanding and they will likely remain that way. But to deny scientific fact is a level of ignorance I can't fully fathom, and anyone would be foolish to deny proof of something right in front of their faces regardless of what they believe or don't believe.
Wasn't expecting to find something like this in a random thread about lion-men. Going to have to take this in chunks
You're being facetious, right? Not literally claiming that evolutionary biology is a religion?
What's with the random Catholic-bashing? I'm guessing you're some flavor of Southern Baptist.
Person A believes [thing] because [person who claimed to know] said so, because it was in a book, and because that's what fits with what they observed in their life.
Person B believes [other thing] because [person who claimed to know] said so, because it was in a book, and because that's what fits with what they observed in their life.
Which is which?
Also, I'm interested in your definitions of human and animal, and how they differ. (Hint: don't say that a human is defined by being a featherless biped.)
Unorthodox display of hubris, but very well.
Interesting that you assume everyone is as inflexible as you are. Or perhaps you know me, deep down. In the latter case, this should be easy: am I an atheist, a Buddhist, a Catholic, a Hindu, a Jew, a Lamb of Dalamud, a Lutheran, a Methodist, a Mormon, a Satanist, a Scientologist, a Taoist, a Vodouyizan, or a Wiccan?

This may not be on my behalf, but your answer to your question probably depends. Being a Hrothgar's girlfriend or significant other would likely raise the chances for them to like ear and chin scratches >.> I mean ... I definitely hear of this sometimes being the case for other humans too >.>
I was also trying to avoid the religious debates at first too and tried to keep it within reason for what Science represents. If others are curious, I am not actually affiliated to any religion, but I do not discount the presence of a God either. However, I do have a few thoughts of who exactly would qualify as a God in our view. Do they have to be an ethereal infinite spirit? Or can they simply be a leader / commander of an advanced alien space ship fleet? Is the Garden of Eden the name of a space ship or a hidden uncharted land here on Earth? Does the space ship have to look like a machine? Or can it also be a bigger natural object such as a repurposed asteroid, moon satellite, etc.?
Unfortunately, it will take a while to verify some of these thoughts since we are still at the first stages of launching off Earth. There also comes the question if it is even necessary for us to do this yet since Earth is already a series of self sustaining ecosystems we can live in. Maybe we should be looking at how to maintain the systems better such as recycling the plastics ... Their inert property to chemical reactions poses a big problem to throwing them out to the ecosystems as garbage. The self sustaining ecosystems need a cycle for everything to work and some plastics kind of says no to that >.> Another funny thought is if an alien ship saw how some of us behaved during Black Friday in Walmart and just noped out of our sector of the universe.
