Now I'm wondering if he wants more Dress uniforms or regular daily uniforms? Dress tend to be like the ones shown in the OP. While the picture from Miss Saigon is a costume based on post WWII. Which is still a different cut from those back in WWII. Or would he want Dress Whites? There's so many different styles. Your enlisted vs your officer daily outfits. Then the two different "fancy" versions. Does he just want army olive drab or the browns of other countries use for their armies? Have we even seen all the different hierarchy of Garlean uniforms? Which for most tend to be Black and Red trim. Though the ones in Doma I want to say are Black and Purple trim if not Black with Gold? trim.

If they had just said I'd like to have more military uniforms I doubt there would be much push back.

Looks good to me. Why not. Game has already lost its identity with the outfits and everything is on currently from high fantasy to weird fetishes

Doubtful. Anything Garlean gets pushback - and that's just referring to pushback of the subject matter of the thread.

I meant just generic military outfits. Though every single country does have their unique look to said garb. Except I feel we are lacking in Ala Mhigan and Doma outfits. Unless you're going to tell me we're still going to say the resistance garb is going to stay being their official look. Doma doesn't seem to have a look unless it's of the shinobi. In flash backs we do tend to see samurai armor. Again not a whole lot besides what an enlisted would wear daily.

That's a good point. I hope in time we will get to see how they have moved on and started to recreate/reclaim their identity after suffering invasion, having us see uniforms would be a neat way of doing that. Ala Migo in particular, I feel they have been the most left out of all the nations.

I'm not even pushing back :x I just have an opinion on Garlean lore. But that opinion isn't any better than anyone else's. I can't play the game for OP and his friends.

And it's not like Square hasn't implemented stuff that was problematic for other cultures, because it definitely has.

Plus, I know people want to roleplay as Garleans, and right now the game is limiting them.

As if it ever had a consistent identity. the game has always been absolutely all over the place with designs, never sticking to same 'genre', from as early as ARR. Its just more noticable as with art quality increasing, so did the disparity between stylistic genres of various clothes became more obvious.

Wouldn't mind more military outfits in game. I quite liked the ones we got in Garlemad. Just a shame we've yet to get any of their armor sets, save for the generic one in ARR and the Far Eastern one in Stormblood.

I will say I really like the Tekko/Choka #55 gear we get in Stormblood. I use them often in my Glams.
