OP is mad.
However, Premium has a point: There's absolutely nothing to do till 50 other than leves and what few fetch quests we have. Sure, there's toto-rak and caravans at 25 and Shopshae at 15, but what about the other levels?
IMO, the devs should have added a few new low level areas before making the campaign. I can see the current campaign bringing back some people that already had a level 40+ class or with enough friends to level with, but everyone else is stuck doing the same thing as 2010: Grindan dem leves.
When does the main story end now? Lvl 25? I guess that is something for new/returning players. I remember the game also has quests at early levels, but they are pretty dull. Durandal is pretty good when it comes to leveling, I still see shouts for exp pts at all different level ranges (not many but some)
I think they should have added alot of 10-30 leveling, storytype quests before the the welcome back campaign, to get people into the lore and world. Leves are nice to get some quick exp, but people get bored with them, when its the only thing to do.
I still like the game, but I have all my battle classes capped, and working on capping my crafting levels. My goal is to be maxed out when v2.0 comes out. I can't see any new player maxing out their battle classes now. Not enough pts, you would have to leve grind a TON
Totally agree, this is ffxiv community, make an effort to help guys coming back on there AF etc. show them what the new updates have to offer I came back after 1.20. My friend Laevetine took time to explain to me quests I should do, it really helped me to enjoy the game and that is why i'm still here. Now our LS had couple guys come back and looking to do their AF, and for one guy I was shouting in uldah for an AF party for him because he pretty much gave up. And if i'm just crafting and I see some shouting for AF I still jump in to help.
This campaign isn't just the responsibility of SE. If you enjoy this game and want this game to be successful we as a community have to do our part.
I would love to be able to tell if ANYONE has come back, but because they can't render more than thirty people in town at a time, I am having a hard time seeing any noticable difference in player population.
Bah, I thought I remembered reading they lowered the level the storyline ends... I guess not
