OCE Server Announcement; Are you going?

Will they open Home World Transfer Service soon or will that take a few days so we can use it?

You can be in a city. When they say your character cannot be logged out in an instance, they're referring to instanced duties (dungeon, raid, Eureka, etc).

Keep in mind that for transfers to a new world, you DO NOT want to relinquish any house or apartment. Read the data center announcement for specifics about exceptions to the normal transfer requirements:

Yep I cleaned out my FC house and disbanded my FC, cleaned out my apartment too just waiting on the transfers to open up then i'm off to Sephirot. Disappointed that FC does not get compensated for losing their house too but not much I can do about it *shrug*

Im in the states, so Mateus is where im staying. Id move for the buffs if I wasnt afraid of the lag possibilities.

btw you can transfer your character for free to the new oceanic datacenter if you do not want to go through ARR again. I just noticed that you are a lvl 90 monk.

tomorrow Character transfers will resume and it is free to transfer to the new oceanic DC for a limited time.

I know many people are making on OCE just for the free playtime at lvl 30, some even logging in the middle of dungeons once they get it.

I rolled a character on one of those servers and did not get any of the usual stuff I get in the mail, such as veteran rewards.

I imagine because of the amount of people currently making chars and mail being sent, it may just take a while for them to deliver.

Sadly, i think we'll lose the money we put into our FC house (We never bothered with personal houses, we just shared an FC house between us), but the latency is so much better (from like 300 something on tonberry to 22 on Seph) that it's worth it.

Will be nice in dungeons/raids to move with the raid and be safe and not die because latency caused the server to think I didn't move!

Wow from 300ms to 22ms. That is huge. You will surely notice the difference on the quality of your gameplay. Lucky :)
