But anyway ignoring the elfy post due to having too much times on their hands

Scholar is legit going to be fine, it's still strong and there is loads of cool tricks u can do with its HP bonus buff it can give out, for example

Scholar can legit buff TBN
Scholar can buff divine intervention
That's 10% hp boost is wow I cannot wait to try some quirky tricks with it

So anything which scales of "max" hp well the scholar hp buffs makes it way more better like damn

I wonder if thrill of battle + new sch hp buff with shake it off cause that's a big shield on a warrior if thrill+new sch hp buff stacks

I don't believe Scholar's healing kit being weak has ever really been the issue with Scholar; it's healing kit is incredibly powerful and nothing is really changing about that in Endwalker. Being "fine" and being "fun" are two vastly different things, though.

I couldn't disagree more. SCH looks like a boring mess with a situational speed burst. No one is complaining about the SCH heal kit; it's the spamming on "broil" we HATE so damn much.

The reason I have a list is because I'm constantly having to correct folks like you who don't know any better. At this point you seem like a troll and are just another name on the ignore list.

Sch will be one of the best jobs for midigation, but thats also an issue with it, its not a sought after quality for a job, especially when its overall kit is just too boring. Sch is going to be like early ffxiv Pld, had decent utility and midigation but very boring and very low dps that War and later Drk were the usual picks (pretty much just took Pld for HG cheesing or stunlocking adds.)

Scholar has plenty of healing resources but with the fewest amount of DPS options; attacking becomes extremely limited and boring pretty quickly, and I was further offended when Square Enix later lowered Energy Drain's potency in a stated attempt to get players to only use that for regaining MP rather than it being another attack option. Scholar already had so few attack options, so making that change made things even worse.

They want Energy Drain to be your resource dump for unneeded stacks, not the primary way to spend your stacks. While they're never going to succeed at that with how important DPS is in this game, it's still rather shocking they're allowing us to keep it. Fortunately now that you have the Broil cast time you'll be able to use Fey Union far easier, which I do believe will make up for that issue, you don't need healing now? Pop Fey union for a few ticks here and there and don't use the Aetherflow to heal.

And you can make Fey Union last longer by burning your stacks into Energy Drain which gives 30 Faerie Gauge.

More thoughts on scholar.

Sage and whm are very similar theorhetically from the sound. They can build up to a damage ability by using their resources and additionally they have many abilities that allow them to damage and heal simultaneously with little in the way of boosting party damage(selfish dps wise).

However when compairing scholar and astro there is one part where scholar falls short. Scholar lacks a regularly engaing support utility. This is not to say scholar should get astro buffs but just that perhaps a mechanic where you can regularly(every 30 seconds or so) apply a single target buff might help the job feel less spammy and more engaing for those who play it. Like a small increase to direct or crit hits which could be applied to single targets giving it something to do outside of broil spam. Or to prevent a samey feeling it could be a targeted debuff, these dont have to be long either even like 5-6 seconds. And maybe *cough* it could be spread by an ability like bane along with our DOT to make it useful for dungeons too * cough*
