Yeah because SE has been really showing off all the mounts we will have after the Goobue mount came out and you see like 2 people use it on the server.

FF11 was my only other MMO (did a free trial of WoW, didn't stick around) that I invested time in, but I'm open to suggestions that will help make ff14 more fun. If that includes multiple mounts, then I'm all for it :D

We dont want more to add, that is the point, it is something to argue.

Lots of people didnt want Goobbue, and there were some who was like "nah be hilarious!" and those SAME PEOPLE no longer use it, because its a JOKE, its fun for a little while but drastically dies down.

Very rare you see the mount used because people prefer the chocobo, it works best, it looks good, it fits in.

We dont need stupid new mounts, put the resources into something else. I'd rather have a REAL airship ride than a couple stupid mounts that get used for 5 minutes and add stupid icons to my micromenu.

A Behemoth mount that can attack would be cool, as part of a companion mount that you level up...

i'm no glamour whore, but I would like to see more/diffident mounts.. I think it's very bland for everyone to be riding the same thing.. race specific mounts would be my best choice.. Dont thing a Gulka should be riding what a lala does

I think future mounts should focus more on vehicles than creatures. Generally speaking, in a final fantasy, you have Chocobo and Vehicles. very few other animals.

I'm not opposed to other animals, but I'd rather this didn't turn into a fleet of absurdity.

Never seen a post where YP was like "Yes new mounts are coming", I have seen posts where he jokes about riding magitek and dismissing that choco's will be able to fly/swim.
I think adding the aforementioned chocobo breading dynamic to the game would be a great idea, I like that the barding aspect gives people different looks to their choco and breading different types/colors of choco's would just add to the variety but FF has never needed different mounts, because chocobo's will always reign supreme.

I only got a Gobbue because I wasn't able to get my Choco yet. Once I had that, there was no turning back.

And this isn't about FFXI, like someone else said. It's moreso, for me, about FF in general. Chocobo has (almost) always been the mainstay, iconic mount of the FF series. Why would we want to change this now ?

Oh and also, personalizing and fighting with your Chocobo are confirmed content for 2.0. This will give them diversity I would think, along with breeding obviously. We really don't need new creatures...

They are quite vocal haha, I think its cute when they say XI was hard.
