I was online during two of the FATEs, and the zone was congested both times. Now the event is over, and I didn't get to play. So yes, please, this is my exact request. Let the last event keep happening. Call it stockpile and inventory, I don't know, make it out to be a gathering of materials for future plans. But let them keep happening. Leave a bar there to fill instead of killing the event after the last one.

i just set my alarm for like 3:30 am for one of the fates to go into the zone ahead of time and then did it and went back to bed. EZPZ.

If I was interested in the content for myself, I could have gotten into 2 of the 6 fates. All others have been at 1-3am and 9-11am.

Getting to these others results in me skipping sleep or skipping work, both of which are not things a developer and publisher such as Square Enix should be encouraging (whether directly or indirectly)

That's kind of hard since have to be at work on weekdays at 3am and not off till 12pm so unless it spawns between 1am and 2am leaves me out. I have never heard what time fates spawn till now so unless some tells you the spawn time you wouldn't know. I always thought there was only 3 fates and they spawn when timer ends in 8 hours.

as each bar filled up 1st fate was 2 hours from when that was done. 2nd part was 8 hours after first fate is finished.

Yeeeaaah this was suppose to be a casual experience I thought.
not going to get up in the wee hours of the goddog morning for a video game when I got work hours later. as me trying to go back to sleep is a nightmare (ty insomnia!)
not gonna happen lol.

That would mean that those people working the whole day for this to pop would be forced to wait just so that another group of people can do it. And I would say that this is impossible to coordinate. You would need the acceptance of every single person that comes on and wants to give items to the NPCs. I doubt that this can happen and its not more fair if now instead of punishing those that are not at home or sleep during that time, you punish those that would have been there and will miss out now.

No this is completely on SE. They should have made their restoration which in their view is now for everyone to enjoy (and a selling point of the expansion) into something which can be enjoyed by all that want to enjoy it without punishing some other parts of their customers.

While I fully understand the desire to take part in the Concerted Works FATE, those who missed it didn't really miss much. The FATE is pretty boring in itself.
The rewards one got from the FATE are quite nice (lots of Exp, and 500 scrips) but I understand why the developers wouldn't want it to be too easy to get these rewards - if everybody got them easily, everyone would quickly have all the Exp and scrips they want, and then it would be hard to find people to do all the upcoming stages of the Ishgard Restoration.
Remember, this was only the first step of the restoration. Assume there will be plenty more throughout the lifetime of the expansion until the restoration is complete.
