I want them poses.
Sign me up, give female Drags that Kain pose.

I would also like to be able to use the battle/victory poses regardless of gender
I would much prefer more uniqueness than unity.
lol I get what you were trying to say OP. Yea I wouldn't mind that all, more poses is always good. I miss the male DRG pose, but love the female DRK pose.
Oh yeah! I mentioned DRK but I forgot the DRG pose, even though I actually play DRG. I would love to have the female one instead. Having my weapon standing up like that would be super cool instead of just tucking it next to my leg.
Except it doesn't homogenize anything, it just creates more options for uniqueness and creativity. Giving all options to players regardless of gender won't make them all look the same, it will allow them to be more original with what they choose to combine together and how they design their character.
It's the same as the argument for taking job restrictions off gear; sure it might be weird seeing a BRD in tank gear or something, but if you can believe it, it doesn't mean everyone will just wear the same stuff. They'll just have more to choose from.
Exactly, doing this only increases the number of possible combinations available to players for their character between race, gender, job, gear, and emotes.
The combat idle poses are a pretty major presentation of character presentation, at least relative to other emotes. Furthermore, as others have pointed out, many of the differences don't even seem to map strongly to gender expectations/stereotypes, especially for the melee DPS and tank DoW classes.
I always liked the subtle way you could change your character's aesthetic feel in Dark Souls via the Reversal Ring, and was always a bit disappointed it ate a ring slot instead of being a system toggle.
I don't get this, people ask for a simple thing that takes away nothing of value from anyone but folks vote to deny them that request based on vague preferences that could be met by just not using whatever the request entails. Would seeing a male Drk plant his sword offend you so? And should your preferences affect the choices available to your fellow players just based on that?
If you where talking about homogenizing classes I'd agree, but this is the players virtual avatar to do with as they please. I don't see why you would need to restrict them just for the sake of having restrictions.
OP certainly did themselves no favor by asking for "gender equality" instead of a simply "victory cpose".
