A Poll About The New Races (Viera & Hrothgar)

I filled it out. Thanks for doing this, I appreciate someomes incentive to organize this, interesting to look at the results

I answered all of the preference ones right in the middle (don't care). However, I will swap this character for a Hrothgar after testing one as a new character, to make sure there's nothing really annoying about them. I'll use my free fantasia potion to do it (Not spending any $).

I didn't want to create an account just to participate in this poll, so I'll put some basic answers here and you can feel free to incorporate them as you please.

I have no personal interest in the new races. I'm happy with my female Highlander. Female Viera and female Hrothgar would really just be slightly different versions of this gorgeous Amazon that I'm already enjoying playing.

I still feel a little sad for those players who really wanted to play a male Viera or a female Hrothgar. I think it was a bad idea for SE to introduce two new genderlocked races, rather than one race with two sexes; I thought they'd left all that behind when ARR launched with male Miqo'te and female Roegadyn and Highlanders. I thought they would not genderlock Viera after that incident with the bunny girl-outfit from the Gold Saucer, when they made that outfit female-only and later decided to let male characters wear it due to popular demand on these forums. I figured they would not want a repeat of that, so when the bunny-girl race was introduced, of course it would not be female-only. But, apparently I was wrong, because that's what they did.

I hope at some point in the future they go ahead and add the second sex of the two new races. It doesn't affect me personally, because I love my Highlander, but I want as many of my fellow players as possible to be happy with their options.

On a side note, I'm a little annoyed with how they keep adding all these new taller and taller races. Highlanders are supposed to be tall, but with the addition of these two new races, Highlanders will now be on the short side of that spectrum.

I think that's pretty much every facet of my opinion on the new races.

All I want... is to be a female ronso blue mage... blue mage is "limited" and a glorified mini game, and I dont' play male toons... so Hrothgar or w/e they're called in XIV are basically not being added at all as a player race. I'll check out the bunny race but still prefer Ronso.
