So far only NPCs have it. We'll likely get it in any of the upcoming updates (Make it Rain, DD, Eureka...).

Well no one is saying FF14 pvp is /good/, it's probably the worst, most boring pvp in any mmorpg out there for fun factor, but it's there.

Squeenix gotta get people into dat shit somehow so might as well slog through it if you want the hair, just like you might slog through some boring fate grind holidays for outfits/etc

I love that hair beyond the length of the braid. That will cause clipping issues. I wish SE would stop putting so many stupid elements on some of their hairstyles. There's probably a dozen hairstyles I love, but don't use because each one has one element I hate. For example, the hairstyle contest winner - love the style, hate the ugly purple flower that goes with nothing. Another example, love the Minfilia hair but I hate that long braid with the silver metal ornament on the end that also clips with almost everything.

What makes me wonder.. if that braided style if for both genders or female only?

It's unisex. Probably don't see any male NPCs wearing it because it's a women's hairstyle though.

Isn't that hairstyle apart of the female hairstyle contest and not the male hairstyle contest they ran along side it...? If so, where the heck are the male contest winner/runner up hairstyles? :(

This new hairstyle is actually the first female runner-up to show in-game I think. The style Clover posted will probably be next.

Does anyone have a screenshot of the new short style on a male Elezen character? Preferably with a light hair colour. I don't want to learn PvP just to get it and *then* decide it doesn't look as nice on him as I hoped it would....

Maybe the second one it's from Eureka Pagos, or UwU, or HoH too. But it would be weird, as theres nothing to datamine from these ones now.

They frequently add items that won't be actually 'added' for months, or even until another patch. In this case, at least one NPC and possibly more are already sporting it, so they wanted to use it now.
