That's exactly it, the justification is profit, and it's valued at whatever they think people are willing to pay.

I'm surprised you guys aren't arguing becouse can't be dye
Wait, it can't dye? That's a slap in the face to not let it. The promotion one can so why not this one too? :\
Too many restrictions for the price for me:
-Can't be dyed
-Can't gender exchange via Calamity Salvager
-Single chr
I'd rather pay an extra 5 bucks to have all of these removed then not.
Horrible promotional agreements in EU doesn't excuse charging these prices. Specially like others mentioned. Itemscan't be dyed, are single character and can't be put in the armoire.
You're paying more for a crappier version of the promo.
The hell are you talking about? XV broke even on release date on game sales alone (6m+ sales iirc); everything after (Season pass and addtl dlc) have only been profit for them at MUCH more reasonable prices as cosmetics (clothing and weapons are like 1 usd iirc) Additional sales from the WinED and RoyalED are additional profits, since people who bought the original game needs to buy the Royal Ed DLC (another 20 USD)
SE knows they have a fanbase that can justify purchases in the name of "But it's Final Fantasy" but this is really getting ridiculous. Like another post said: "I'll just wait for the sales" I'd just like for those to happen more often. (ideally, monthly)
Where did this can't be dyed come from? The item data says it's dyeable.
