Dear RED MAGES....!

Read my post, I said Im supportinf my group. But dont expect me to do the healers jobs. me and my healers (In my static) we got really good communication. I see when they just used swiftcast, so ofc I will raise if they cant or if theres a lot of raid damage incoming and they need to focus on healing. Please read my post totaly before quoting me. Thx

I main AST so healing is second nature to me, as a red mage i use vecure if im away from the healer or if i see the healer struggling and if the other party members are about to die from a mechanic ( for example the new raid), if vercure is part of my toolkit, i will use it when/ if nessesary. Kinda like bards with song ( never played bard)

As an RDM I only self heal if I don't trust the healer, which is most healers in duty finder.

when I have tried really hard to trust the healer, I noramlly find myself flat on my back dead.

I agree second post did kill the little momentum they had going, but in the end result was not so bad. I got a few laughs out of the responses.

Do disagree with the OP. It is not the job of a dps to do the healers job. RDM also has Tether. It doesn't mean they should use it all the time or make it part of their regular kit. The tool is there and there are times and places to use it. Doing the healers job is not one of them with Vercure. That is what the healer is there for, to heal. If the healer is not there or not doing there job then possibly depending on situation. If the healer is not there or not doing their job then there clearly are other problems that need adressing ( tank not waiting for healer, healer being lazy, etc. )

Yeah, but the Op clearly said she want us to use vercure when shes busy dpsing. So nope. I wont do your job (Which is HEALING) When youre too busy doing mine (Which is MAINLY dpsing)

If Vercure is as powerful as you make it out to be, then let me have your healer queue time and kick out the actual healers for another DPS. We obviously don't need healers anymore with your mentality.


I have an assignment for you. First of all, before you talk about RDM in content, you might want to start on getting that to 70 first. As of the time of this post, lodestone says you're level 65 RDM. seriously, get on that. There's this thing called "credibility" you need before you start insulting people that are clearly more invested than you.

Second, once you acheive that, go into any Expert roulette dungeon, Omega(both normal and savage), The EX primals(Lakshmi, Susano, and Shinryu), and Rabanastre. Start using Vercure as often as you expect us to. Note down your DPS. Note down your Healer's DPS.

Now that you've done the above, forget Vercure exists. Don't use it once. Once again, note your DPS and the healer's DPS.

I can promise, guarantee, stake my housing plot, FC, and subscription to you, that the latter will yield higher DPS numbers for BOTH you and the healers involved. Why? It's simple, really.


HEALERS ARE NOT BALANCED WITH A RELIANCE ON RDM'S VERCURE!
Healers are not going to stop healing just because we are. Their DPS numbers aren't going to magically skyrocket because we heal.
