After I finished my dps and tank alts, I picked up SCH since someone else was already a WHM in my relatively small FC.
Was weird since I need to play as ACN for the first 30 level before finally being able to heal for real. And after I managed to become a SCH, it was still weird since, compared to WHM, at Lv 30 SCH has really limited healer skills. Didn't even have Leech yet. And even have to borrow some stuffs like Protect and Stoneskin from WHM.
After I reach lv 50 however, I find that healing with SCH is amazing. I love the heal and shields->Cleric Stance->DPS->Cleric Stance->Heal rotation. It feels much more fun than just being a normal healer.

I main Whitemage because as someone it a fan of the FF series i already knew i was gonna main healer from the very beginning so being able to be a whitemage from the get-go made me very happy since i always play healers in other games myself i wanted to play something i find the most fun. i have tryed SCH and AST while they are fun SCH is a bit too much for me the whole pet thing is a neat idea but hard for me to do without macros,
Whitemage is simple when it comes to healing is another reason i like it its very beginner friendly.
I feel like everyone should give all the healer classes a try honestly i feel like there one for everyone.
i remember starting out learning what a debuff is was the hardest part, because it looked like a buff.

WHM is my fave.. Scholar is nice on my alt namely cause I just was screwing around. but theres just something about whm that makes me want take it eventually no matter what alt I play

Astrologian. Because stars.
...No, really, that's as far as the thought process went. Just ask my FC.

WHM. I'm pretty casual, and this job's straightforward mechanics really help me keep up with everyone else.
Also SCH has limited emergency tools and I'm really bad at remembering to draw cards every 30 seconds.

I main WHM, and... err... nothing special here. Just spent the most time on this class. It isn't the most fun nor the most efficient in some content (though it's killer in 4 man content).
I would (and will) pick SCH or AST as a main.

WHM. Started as a Conjurer and didn't really swap out. When I eventually branched into Scholar I got a static that wanted to run WHM/AST so I just rolled with it.

WHM/SCH dragging AST along but don't really like it for some weird reason:)

I started my adventure as a WHM. I prefer SCH now. It's more fun to me the balance between DPS and Healing. I just like the whole aesthetic.

I went white mage because of my familiarity with the final fantasy series. My favorite characters were always the healers; Garnet, Yuna etc. That and I love the clean white robes with red boarders on them. I like the theme around the class, although I wish we had more water/holy aspected spells.
That and I like how simple it is. Spending less GCD's/OGCD'S to get similar results the other healers could get in more, or microing a fairy (although when I am in the mood for card play/fairy it's nice to be able to swap jobs on the fly thanks to the armory system). That and I like how strong it makes me feel in progression raiding thanks to the prior statement.
