The topic is not "i want to run as fast as i do with my weapon drawn as i do when it is not"...... We are talking about having to stop to sheath/unsheath our weapons or to raise/unraise our shields, and having to unsheath to cast spells. No one is concerned about Fleet of foot....
Removing the delay removes the advantage a player with Fleet of Foot has earned by leveling a side class.
Honestly, I wonder how many who support this hasn't earned the trait...
Actually, the fact of whether or not other MMOs do this is under debate. I personally think it was proven that others do NOT back on page two, post 15.
In my MMO experience, there is no stalling when entering combat.
I don't mind active/passive mode, but I think it could have been handled better. I would rather have something more subtle and seemless, where you automatically enter active mode when you engage an enemy and are in combat, then automatically enter passive mode when combat ends. I don't think it should have anything to do with whether or not you take out your weapon. And it certainly should not make you stop in your tracks.
So as we were saying........ Sudden shield arm failing has gotten me zapped by gnats. who else hates this?
