Well I blame gaming itself. We no longer have a REAL game over anymore. you sound like me and that you remember the good old days where GAME OVER meant something. Games don't do that anymore and gamers at large became spoiled. Now we have pillow deaths and pat on the head checkpoints in every game. :c
Story mode should also be challenging it's called story mode not easy mode.
The problem with the msq is it's to easy it completely destroys the tension or atmosphere the story tries to create.
The stories constantly trying to say all these things are a grave threat to the realm, or battles that will be almost impossible to win. or whatever and Then you rofl stomp it with ease.
Like they make out the operation to take veladonia out to be some impossible mission I got duty complete putting my controller down and answering the front door....
You don't feel any of that threat from the garleans or anything that the story tries to create.
The difficulty really does need to be ramped up a bit to reflect the tension and atmosphere the story tries to create. Not just rofl stompable
the garleans have occupied and oppressed doma for 25 years or so and you lberated them without even breaking a sweat... I mean seriously how did they last 25 years when they fell so easily without even putting up a fight
I really enjoyed this fight and I would hate to see it nerfed. But when I think about it, in 3 months when no one is doing it and queue times are horrible, the idea of a new player getting stuck on this fight is probably worse for the game community overall. It'll probably need to be tuned down in time.
If they keep nerfing any and all challenges, the people you get in your groups are never going to improve. It will probably be nerfed, but for the health of the game, it shouldn't be.
I had sooooo much trouble on this fight it wasn't even funny. 10 attempts and 2 days later I finally cleared. I think it needs a little nerf tbh. Not TOO nerfed mind you. Just a tiny bit. It's a bit too difficult for a story trial. This should be NORMAL mode, not extreme-omg-everyone-falling-off-and-wiping-constantly. If you want extreme trials of this, make it optional. Still trying to get friends through this and they're getting frustrated. I still have to do this on my alt. Ugh. Dreading this. lol...
Does this fight even have an enrage? Genuinely curious; never seen it. Or is everyone having trouble with it just because they can't do mechanics?
This trial is the new Aurum Vale. People get in, see what it is, and then instantly leave. I've gotten into two queues for this, stayed until the timer got to 10 minutes and everyone decided to vote abandon cause we didn't have time for another try. Not sure if I'm just unlucky with duty finder or what. But people that have beaten it HATE this trial, and others can't seem to get it done. I think one problem is people don't focus on the tail when it comes up. You can tell them to but they don't seem to want to switch targets. *shrugs*
You guys have no idea what savage/extreme mode is, if you think this fight is on that level of difficulty. This fight doesn't need to be nerfed.
It's really not a hard fight though. Yes you will wipe a good couple of times because you don't fully understand everything but as long as you learn from each mistake you were punished for, that's all there is to it.
