Same here!
Unfortunately there are a few very unreasonable people on the Japanese side as well.
At least most seem to be against the idea of one-language servers, so hopefully SE will keep the status quo on this one.

I am not opposed to a couple servers being that way and completely optional. I personally found playing with EU players in XI was generally more fun than my with fellow NA's. I also enjoyed JP parties, auto translate wasn't really an issue for me. My supporting opinion for the availability of language/region specific servers is that there are people who don't want to play internationally. They should be able to remove themselves from the rest of the community without creating a hostile environment for those who enjoy playing with other communities. In the end I believe it will create a stronger community.
I'm against it, its fun to play with people of other cultures and style. Also pick up few words :D from different language.
* anyone know how to reduce the size of the signature? *
I think your gigantic signature goes along well with your manliness. . . .
I don't have any issues with different language servers.
A little off topic, remember in ffxi, you could tell who the nubs were in whitegate/jeuno by the overuse of the translator. It used to drive me nuts how most english speaking nublets overused it, or misused obvious incorrect translations of words like <May> <Bee>
example: <Teleport-Mea> <Can I have it> <Please> <Reward> <You can have this> <Thank you>
as if you need so many translations to get your point across.
my personal non-favorite:
The gentlemen who found it groundbreakingly entertaining (to themselves) and felt a need to shout and share it with us in whitegate/jeuno being clever by creating sexually suggestive sentences out of the translator, <mithra> <Joy> <Hole> etc... It was real entertaining for the first 6 years and 364 days I played, but it got a little sour on that 7th year mark.
Sometimes sarcasm doesn't translate well on forums, I'll correct myself. It got old after about 2 weeks. =\
<I'm sorry> to unintentionally derail! <Please forgive me> ;p
I am not for segregated servers. If anything, the way the servers were handled in FFXI and in FFXIV has allowed us, as the community from various countries to come together during a crisis. It has allowed me to care deeply for people, regardless if they were in the U.S. or another country. Otherwise, I think if we were on our own servers the reaction and support that has thus been shared would have been nearly non-existent.
I enjoy working with other people from other countries. I want to show others that not everyone is an arsehat in the U.S. =)
This is the stupidiest idea ever!!!!
Wtf am i suppose to do with the minority of possible 30 or less Nordic players on 1 server ?
lol... ya there's not many of us playing FFXIV, most Nordic players play WoW,
mostly because it has huge relations to our own history & mythology.
nuuuu thx, i rather have more or less various countries playing on a server.
Besides i like having japanese ppl around, i cant tell if they're generally nice or as bad us europeans.
...either way i keep telling myself that the Japanese = the shitz! (imo)
Cuz they always been nice to me, i bow & they repay with same kindness.
I would stop play when they seperate Servers because I would loose the posibility to play with my Linkshell.
