I don't particularly enjoy Hildibrand's style of humour, admittedly. It's too out there for me. I'm fine with it being a thing, mind you, provided it's not at the cost of other side story content. Scholasticate has potential, yes - though I'm hoping there will be more mystery to it than 'House Dzamael is evil/everybody who doesn't reach out to the poor is a bigot!' I'd like to see it turn out that some cunning third party is behind the scenes having orchestrated the situation to have the students/teachers at each other's throats. It could easily be someone seeking to take the chance to eliminate the influence of the organisation entirely and kicking it whilst it's down after all - and what better way to do that than stir chaos from within?

As for Eric I'd definitely like to see more of him too. Reading through his 'lore dumps' was pretty enjoying whilst leveling MNK.

I do actually like the Hildebrand quests and I don't think we're getting it in place of the Moogle Courier stories, I think Hildebrand 2.0's battle content has been taken up by the Warring Triad questline and the Courier quests' quieter style of delving into the world by the Scholasticate.

What I do think Moar Hildebrand stole a slot from was the Doman Adventurer Guild storyline, which had a similar style of humour and never continued beyond 3.0, which I am still sad about.

They took a step to making House Dzamael a bit less villainous in the Moogle tribe dailies as the

Elezen you work with is the former Baron of House Dzamael.

I also think that the villain behind the Scholasticate thing isn't likely to actually be the Dzameal guy as that would be way too obvious.

Ah, that's promising then! I haven't really touched crafting to any major extent so I haven't yet done the Ixal or Moogle stuff. I'll get around to it eventually though.

Though with FFXV due out very soon that'll be yet another distraction for me. Albeit a welcome one. :p

I'd like to see Hildebrand mingle with beast tribes next adventure. He made a great ambassador for the zombie pack, whoever the beastmen are in 4.0 (Oh please let it be Qiqirn or Mamool Jas) Hilde will befriend them for more shenanigans.

Scholastite (I probably spelled that wrong) probably won't be around after 3.5, I could be wrong. Seems like a one off spin off like the post moogle stuff.

I hope the Warring Triad has a good payoff. Really want to see the whole point of that storyline.

I'm not particularly inclined to believe there ever really was much of a point behind the Triad storyline. Ancient, superpowerful primals based on VI's deities are threatening to awaken! Go punch them out before they destroy the world! Also make sure those pesky Garleans don't do anything stupid up there, when you have the time!

... never felt like there was much more of a point behind it than that, aside from Unukalhai perhaps coming to understand our point of view and the power of friendship (and perhaps love).

Absolutely nobody dies. Again, while Lusamine can be reasonably compared to Ragyo Kiryuin, it's Pokémon... physical and sexual abuse are entirely out of the question, as is death. She's a G-rated Ragyo, not the full-on deal.

I'm totally playing it over the Act 2 climax when Bank gets Sun/Moon support so I can replay it without deleting my precious team.

It all depends on whether or not TWT stuff ties back in with the MSQ's or not. As it stands it does feel disconnected - which is a shame because the Emperor of Garlemald coming to Eorzea should be a bigger deal than it actually is. There's also stuff like Tiamat that appear to be abandoned plot threads as well as the zone itself feeling very empty despite being an 'end game' zone. I have to wonder how much more was planned for the place that may have been scrapped at some point during development.

Part of me wonders if it's meant to factor into the next expansion at all, in the same way Heavensward sent us back to ARR's zones for a few arcs.
