Umbrite is 300 tomes, so with 2000 headstart, you'd have have 6 Umbrite right away. You need 80 without bonus procs, so make that 76 for easier calculation - 6 of which you already have. Let's say you can run Aetherochemical in 20 minutes for 150 tomes. So every 40 minutes, you'd get 1 Umbrite. Makes a workload of 2800 minutes or 46,7 hours. If you assume more realistic 25 minutes, that's 3500 minutes or 58 hours. Roughly every 3 days, the roulette bonus of 60s would shave 40-50 minutes off that. So in 10 days, you'd look at 3350-3300 minutes workload. Let's make it 55 hours. So 5,5 hours of Aetherochemical research facility a day. More if you go for less efficient options.

Fair enough. I'm on A11S right now and about to leave on a trip for 10 days, so I won't even get A12 down until maybe the end of the month. Even an end relic at 270 is a sexier option to me than overmelding a ring. I turned down the sophie weapon since I didn't want to change my melds.

Actually, some who given up on their relict came back doing it again because of hearing about this step!
I hope SE keep that level and does not add SUPER grind again...

Exactly! With the 260 Book we not only get +13 more crit, but we also get +13 more accuracy, which means we gain 12 more crit, since we can remove an Accuracy meld from gear and add it onto crit. At the 260 stage it is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the 260 Shire Book in terms of weights (even with the bloats SS weight,) but is still behind the Augmented 270 book and 275 Alexandrian Codex. If the rate of growth continues though, at 270, even with less weapon damage, the relic will out damage the Alexandrian Codex. (If you overmeld a ring for +48 acc with a Tier V, IV, IV, IV, IV spread you can meld 2 crit Vs instead of 2 Accuracy on your weapon/gear. You will slightly lose out on damage, but its honestly like losing .5 mind after gaining that 24 extra crit from dumping the Shire Ring, if you do decide to go for the Alex Codex!)

Do the show your work leve in the churning mists and keep abandoning it until you see treasure chests. They are very easy to spot.

if you have a lot of gil you can buy up all the materia and other Market Board items that you can trade in.

Amber-encased Vilekin would be your best bet. There are lots of farming guides online as well. Best thing is, they're a 1 for 1 trade, so each vilekin you get equals one sand.

I keep forgetting about leve. I need to do those. Thanks. I have like 50 umbrite already. I need to get motivated lol
