To be fair, there's a valid reason for that.
Like Garuda, a good deal of Dragoons tend to die easily and then dissipate into aether.

it does feel like sometimes the healer outfits were made for females characters in mind then making it for males. eso healer gear is a good example of this.
There is a benifit to that as well though, don't over look that sharing sets, meaning that you only need one tank, or one healer, or one caster set. That was the way it worked in ARR as well aside from the original iconic set. It means I don't have to choose between my PLD/WAR/DRK for gear, or between my AST/WHM/SCH, or my SMN/BLM. Something that also hinders DRG.
All good on the "not quoting/lazy" part, its video game forums, not serious debate.
Besides, pretty much anything, in any game or irl, looks better on females, so hard to debate that.
Yeah that tank's lore armor for men is kinda awkward I think, that small exposed chest part is funny, made me giggle a bit.
I bloody love it.

But I don't think there's any issue with showin' a little chest on men ;3c
I kinda like that armor, maybe its just me though.
I don't see anything wrong with it, this is a fantasy game after all. Its nice to have such a wide variety of armor styles to pick from. If you really want something that fully covers you from head to toe in plate metal, the option is there.
I mean, I'm a Dragoon in a skimpy pirate outfit, for no reason other than that I enjoy the armor. From a practicality standpoint its ridiculous, theres no way a leather coat and thigh high boots would actually do anything for protection from a dragon. But hey.. I look awesome.
That tank/monk lore armor looks good for big pecs like highlander or roegadyn to show what usually women does. You know... showing cleavage?
