Why would casuals care? Crafted gear with materia is superior to anything Ifrit drops. The players that enjoy hard fights will kill it anyway for the challenge and the casuals will still attempt the fight but not care either way because they can get their shinies regardless.

Considering the fact that currently atk doesn't seem to affect weaponskills much or at all the ifrit dps weapons are better than putting materia into crafting weapons.

Fair enough, but the difference isn't going to warrant casuals to care in the first place.

How about you get the casual vs hardcore speak out of my thread and stop derailing it. Ifrit will be casual friendly content after it's nerfed when the next content tier is introduced and then they will care a whole lot. At the moment seeing the base damage from his weapons, they are still going to be better than any forbidden crafted weapons in the game currently.

I'm proud of my LS for accomplishing this so quickly. I'm sure a lot of people will be proud of the win in the future under different circumstances. It's also GREAT Final Fantasy content! Plus, the gear itself will have any number of uses.

There's no sense in trying to make the Ifrit battle seems less significant. SE deserves some praise for this one.
