fix the card tournement

In the case you mean having queue times for Triple Triad tourneys, that isn't what I meant either. Besides, this is all moot unless they fix the tourney to begin with. Removing NPCs from Triple Triad *now* wouldn't work, being it's the only way for less skilled players who don't want to exploit to participate in the tourney at all, even if it is a guaranteed low rank with no card rewards...but of course that's a part of the very problem this thread is trying to address, being that such people are essentially wasting their time.

The casual players you speak of seem not to be interested in the tourneys to begin with, whether a viable system or not. So removing NPCs would not effect them, I would think. Besides, my reasoning behind it is to encourage current Triple Triad players to play against others, maybe increasing skill/technique knowledge base. And yes, an incentive to grind for better cards. Not sure how you see a problem in trying to encourage people who want to play the game to play the game...it's not like Triple Triad is required to enjoy other content in the game, it is it's own reward. If you don't want to play, then don't.

If there was a Data Center DF and you could only play the same person once if you were outside of DF it would fix the card tournament.
Finding one person to buy/trade wins from is probably easy (don't know, haven't tried it as I feel it's cheating). Finding 50, you'd have to be pretty dedicated to get 50 people to lose to you.
Or even play against.

I agree. For some reason I've heard others have problems with such an idea, but I haven't heard any good, well-thought out reasons behind their sentiment. I would not mind waiting in a duty queue for honest matches, since I'm waiting now as it is with *less* chances of finding someone. This method would actually increase our ability to participate, me thinks, as well as people participating in general. I like my idea as a compromise between all the possibilities...but honestly, FunkyBunch's idea is best imho. Now we'll hear from some whiners who'll compare it to LoVM without thinking about why LoVM tourney's are the way they are...it ain't the "queue", folks...

They should test out a DF for it. It would be an ideal way to force LoV tourney matches, get more people in LoV in general, promote PvP TT, and be the perfect setup to say screw TT, because Pop-Up Duels is the only Final Fantasy card game I want to play and it needs to be added immediately.

It would probably mean you couldn't sign up for any other duty then and have to sit around waiting for the game to find you an opponent and an instance just to play a 30 second card game.

Actually, I imagine it would be much like the LoVM queue (if you can call it that...). You can register for another duty as of now, 'cept it gets canceled when you go into the match...have that but don't have the duty queue get canceled!

I gotta say though, I imagine anyone actively pursuing the TT tourney would put any duty plans on hold, but still, if it were a problem...you have a good point. I just think it could be easily circumvented.

Why would we need to get rid of TT to have Pop-Up Duels?

I rather enjoy TT... but to each there own. But now that you've mentioned it, dang straight, they need Pop-Up Duels! ...just let 'em fix everything else they broke first...

I didn't say get rid of it, I just said that Pop-Up Duels need to be a thing.

How can people get their name on the top of the TT tourney board with ZERO wins? It's so strange.

I can never win any TT tourney games or be on the ranking board because there's always people with over 6500pts+ and people who won only 1 match out of 40 with 3380pt+. :confused::confused:
