well i personally don't think Zidane was all that cool, or interesting. FF9 as a whole really wasn't all that good. it was fun to play, and brought back a lot of good FF memories. but it was too childish/toonish for my FF-tastes. (and the card game wasn't very good either. hurray Triple Triad!)

on a side note, Zidane is THF not NIN. however, one might speculate that SE would implement THF as a job advancement from ROG... someday.

Yes, but we are not Cloud (despite the number of xXCloudXx whatever impersonators that seem to think otherwise), so I view it as this game taking its own little spin on that particular aspect of FF7.

Oohh this turned to a "who's your favourite MC" too fast...

Either way IIRC FFIX was basically fan service because of the 20 years of the franchise, so there isn't much to take from it that there wasn't already in other games...unless of course you want fan service or the fan service?
But yeah, I guess outfits are one of the things you could take from that game.
