That may be true if you count the 15 years but here's how it is.
15years befor start of 1.0 the battle of silver tear lake the elder primal midsgardsmor dies with the explosion of the garlen dreadnought releasing the primals that wer sealed this is viewed in the 1.0 opening movie through the hyru when he used the echo so the 15 years that probly most are adding in has happened befor we ever started in 1.0. It can also give a hint as to maybe part of the city quests we did in 1.0 was just us using the echo. SHOCKER I KNOW RIGHT. This could also show how the people from the circle of knowing Thancred Yostola Papalymo and Yda didn't even know us during the grand company recruitment or the last quest of the original 1.0 story

Absolutely did.
I don't mean this next bit in an elitist way, but that entire event had so many call backs to 1.0 events, quests, and themes, I don't think newer players would ever fully appreciate what the anniversary event really was. I enjoyed it on so many levels.
