In the 1.0 Limsa Lominsa main story quest "Never the Twain Shall Meet" we confront (presumably) our first Ascian, Travanchet, after he steals some sort of ancient "Key" from Seal Rock. According to Llymlaen's Perykos and Thalaos myth, Seal Rock was supposedly the very isle to which She bound Perykos and Thalaos to prevent them from flooding the world. If that was just a myth, what did the Ascians want with the treasure of Seal Rock? What was that key for? Why did Y'shtola also want it?

Many see the Monetarist as villains but I see hinted in many a quest the idea that both royalist and monetarist have their good moments and bad. So if you could clear it up a bit as well as clear up the actual political hierarchy, that would be boss.
